I know and it helped my argument. If all is forgiven because Bernie had a legitimate reason for voting it then that should apply to everyone else who also voted for it. It could have been for the VAWA protections, because of the crack epidemic that was sweeping the country, the need for more police officers on the street, crime that swept cities like Miami, which was fueled by the drug war etc etc. Those are all legit reasons, so I appreciated your response.

My opinion on Yang and Mayor Pete have jumped seeing some of early campaigning. I like Beto but I think the field is too crowded and he would have better served the party by taking another crack at stealing a Senate seat in TX.

Eh it's probably another decade at least before winning Texas (either a Senate seat or electorally) is realistic.

But I agree. If nothing else Beto has a great downballot effect in Texas and helped other Dems get elected.

Agreed. Beto should try to unseat Cornyn. I already see them talking about Beto's conservative voting record and him endorsing a blue lives matter bill.
