The Democrat that has big ideas to structurally upend the last 40 years using constitutional amendments, changing bad laws, and other power move policies to help the middle class and poor people will have my vote in the primary. It’s time to carry a big stick. I’m about action.

It's interesting cause polls consistently show Sanders beats Trump. People might overestimate hypothetical characteristics vs. actual candidates.
That's b/c Sanders is likable and people hate a pathological liar more than anything to do with socialism. But let's not fool ourselves, those polls will tighten once the Republican fear-mongering machine goes into effect. It's going to be "death-panels" x100, and they got Venezuela in their back pocket. Dems better have their messaging tight if Bernie ends up being the candidate. They can't allow a con-man who has stolen millions from the gov't to be the champion for capitalism.

@FAH1223 who do you think is the best VP candidate for Bernie, strategically speaking.

"I think we would look for somebody who is maybe not of the same gender that I am, and maybe someone who might be a couple of years younger than me, and somebody who can take the progressive banner as vice president and carry it all over this county to help us with our agenda, and help us to rally the American people," Sanders told The Young Turks, a left-leaning media organization.

Sounds like he'd pick Nina Turner.

Who do you think?

If Kamala can consolidate black support then probably her. If Beto can put Texas in play then I'd consider him too. Never thought about Turner...I'd also look at Nevada Senator Catherine Cortez Masto.

Whoever gets the nomination definitely has to get Beto on the team. The whole fukkin nation was fukkin with him last year! If Texas is in striking distance next election it’s a wrap and the Dems will win the election.

It looks like former Colorado governor John Hickenlooper will be joining the race. also MJ Hegar met with Schumer about taking on Cornyn.

Schumer is having some difficulty convincing some of our top talent to run for senate - hickenlooper, beto, bullock in montana, ojeda, abrams, stein in NC....all would be the ideal candidates to run for senate in their states but all are either running for president or non-commital to running for senate.
