I listened to this several hours ago but several things that stuck out to me:
  • Advocates for bipartisan SCOTUS expansion. 5 judges selected by the Democrats, 5 judges selected by the Fascists, and 5 judges unanimously selected by the other 10.
  • Believes we should tackle issues in our democracy first (ie voting rights, voting holiday, DC statehood (PR is more complex but they should have to say in POTUS elections).
  • Supports M4A but believes a version of Medicare should be sold on the exchange as a public option. Believes this would either force the private insurers to match those benefits or would transition us to M4A because people would prefer the public option.
@FAH1223 I don’t see how he can’t be considered a progressive. I’m naturally inclined to side eye unknown politicians who don’t list their policy positions on their websites, but he’s unabashedly progressive. From what I've read his foreign policy will be a tempered version status quo, which isn't surprising.
