I mean all candidates know the game, winning the popular vote isn't it. You bare some responsibility losing to a political novice and doofus like Trump. Everyone was sure it was a slam dunk and she missed the slam dunk.
The cause for her missing it has nothing to do with what y’all want to pin it on - her not being the best candidate. She made a big mistake in not campaigning more in the rust belt, but even if she did, trump’s populist dog whistle politics had people voting race >>> interests. 2016 was an amalgamation of a misstep + a rise in white nationalism, let’s call it for what it is

Uncertain grounds
Bernie losing the primary in 2016 didnt necessarily mean he wasnt a better candidate than hillary.

Hillary started with a humongous lead and i suppose was a better candidate in the primary. Winning the primary doesnt equate to being the best candidate. Bernie would have won far more independents..had a higher millenial turnout and polled better than hillary in wis/michigan (cant remember what PA was)

"They are dealing in sound bites and cliches!" Can you sound anymore English? :russ:
I'm not familiar with this guy but hopefully he can still vote in the U.S.

Peter Lavelle has lived in Eastern Europe and Russia for most of the last 25-30 years. The Trump era has shown his 'Libertarian' and "There's no racism! Obama was elected twice!" side. He's one of those California conservatives. He's OK with free healthcare in Russia but says the US can't do it? :cacmjpls:

I remember watching Crosstalk back in like 2013 when the Rabia square in Egypt happened and Sisi ascended to power. Sometimes Peter has good guests and programs but lately his show has been FOX News esque. Can't watch it anymore but every now and then I'll check it out when an actual progressive is on or some big foreign policy drama is happening.

So Hillary's policies were of interest to people in the midwest? Supporting TPP and not supporting Medicare 4 All? I disagree. She lost on her own merits when she could have won if she offered something/anything people wanted. 8 million people who voted for BO switched sides and voted for Trump and many people stayed home. Hillary just didn't energize the base and she is white BTW so how she lost and BO won due to racism is head scratching. :patrice:

Nah. Usual RT pro-Russia talking points. Trashing CNN/MSNBC and sometimes FOX.

BTW, anyone talking about a contested convention?

Mayor Pete trying to over step?

Breh,
You are just denying facts. I’m not the biggest Bernie fan, but ever poll in 2016 had Bernie doing better against Trump than Hillary. Especially in the Rust Belt. Hillary’s trade record hurt her in those states. Also Her support of the 94 Crime Bill helped to depress Black turnout In Michigan and Wisconsin. Biden Trade record is the exact same as Hillary record. His record with Black issues is even worse than Hillary’s record. Can Biden beat Trump? Yes, but Trump can also beat Biden. The argument that Biden is the most electable is nonsense.
IF YOU CANNOT WIN YOUR PARTIES NOMINATION YOU CANNOT WIN THE ELECTION!

It's really that simple.
