Just trying to get people to move their feet and not their mouths.

All these races can be won if you chip into the % of non-voters. The problem is nobody wants to engage with them, because.....:yeshrug:

You're making it sound easier than it is though.

If after the last couple years people still don't care to vote then there honestly might not be anything that'd get them to. I have some people like that in my family and I really don't know what I could say to make them care about politics. They either just don't care at all or think not voting is some kind of virtue.

for as much as HL & TLR (albeit for different reasons) complain about the US, we are a safe, stable, wealthy country, that will always be a big reason people won't care about voting. until our way of life is truly threatened (war on our soil, turmoil like venezuela, or mass crimes against humanity), people aren't going to vote simply because a "big bad person" is in office passing legislation they don't agree with :manny:

And people thought he was gonna beat Hillary in 2016. Maybe he pulls it off this year but I really doubt it. He literally can't go a week without saying something that makes you go "wait what?" And we haven't even gotten to the debate stage yet, where he'll fumble multiple times while younger candidates prove themselves to be more agile mentally.

I'm not saying people care about every little thing people say. They don't. But Biden's problem is that he is incredibly undisciplined and constantly says things he shouldn't say. While many of the things he says do not matter to anyone, when you practice this type of BRAZEN undisciplined behavior you ensure that at some point you will say something you can't walk back, and will get hurt.

I wish Biden was a better candidate because lord knows he'd destroy Trump. But he's not gonna get to the general. And ironically, having spent 8 years serving as VP to perhaps the most disciplined president in our lifetime, he STILL doesn't get it. This race would be Biden's for the taking if he was the candidate people think he is.

Winning the Senate in 2016 looked do-able. Dems needed like 5 seats but only gained 2 and then a 3rd in 2017 with Jones.

Lost a net of 2 in 2018 with a brutal map.

GOP is defending a lot of seats. And the Dems are struggling to recruit candidates for big races. :snoop:
Castro brother is out in Texas. Not too surprised b/c those two are known fence sitting cowards. I'm hoping a few of these presidential candidates change their minds and try for the Senate, but it seems like all the gridlock in there has made it a less appealing powerless job.
