A Biden/Bullock ticket would be horrendous :picard:.

That ticket would depress Democratic turnout by a big margin :picard:.but didn

There definitely needs to be a woman on the ticket, it's time. Women are the backbone of the Democratic Party, especially Black women.

Precisely thats why Abrams is being pushed. At the end of the day Black Women put in work. I used to be very anti Abrams for the same reasons most of this board is.

The decision has been made tho, black women want Abrams, theyve been dropping articles and pushing it for almost a year now. Something they could of easily have replicated with Kamala for the presidential race but didnt. The fact is, if black women wanted Kamala to be on stage still, she would be; simple as that.

Its the complete opposite with Abrams.

They're starting a get out to vote campaign driven by Black women. Ya'll just need to accept it and get in line. :yeshrug:

At the end of the day it's going to be one of 3 old white people that's gonna win the Democratic nomination (Biden, Bernie or Warren).

They are going to HAVE to choose a VP who is in their 40s or 50s and a non-White person.

You're 100% right about that. Republican voters fall in line while Democratic voters need to be romanced, wined and dined on some lover's coral shyt in order to get them "to want" to vote for you. That's partly why Warren is doing so well.
Agreed. Warren was doing well, but she made a few mistakes that may of cost her the nomination. She let fukkboy Pete slide way too long, and then when she did attack him, she let him bullshyt his way out of it. I think her healthcare plan is the most realistic and thought out, but the way it was rolled out was a little messy, and give an opening to be attacked by both moderates and progressives. If she would of had this plan from the beginning it wouldn’t of been a problem.

Yup,
there are areas you can criticize Liz in, but this is not one. She has went toe to toe with the biggest lobbying industry in Washington. Liz problem is not her history, or her policies(for the most part). It is that her, and her team have poorly communicated her positions over the last few months. It frustrating, because if played right she could have been the best candidate to untie party.

I don’t know if warren is afforded the ability to choose a non white person. Asking some folks to vote for a woman + minority ticket is a lot.

That said, some of y’all are in your male privilege bag dismissing the need to diversify the ticket, especially along the lines of gender.

Nah, Tammy Baldwin is a solid Senator and Wisconsin is turning into a purple state. We need to keep her in the Senate.

She can have a cabinet spot. Not sold on VP. Imagine Trump deciding he wanted to run again in 2024 because Biden won't run again. he'd destroy her and be President again. That would be a nightmare.

That's a solid choice.

Biden has the old white man demographic which is a strong voter base. He also got some of them farmers on lock as well. He also has a strong endorsement from the firefighters union and united food and commercial workers union. My concern is that them middle age and old white men wouldn't like Stacey as a VP choice because quite frankly, she's a dark skin black woman and has progressive ideas that they not down with. Tammy Baldwin is safe. Probably a little too progressive for Biden, but she would tone that down. Plus she's gay so she can string along them LGBT people.

Just realized, WI is one of those states where a special election occurs and no governor appointment

So best not to tap Tammy Baldwin

There really is no requirement to have a black VP. Black people. Voting dem anyway
Yes but what are the percentages? The overwhelming majority of Black people voted for Hillary, but it wasn’t at the same rate we voted for Obama. Black people staying home in Milwaukee is one of the reasons she lost Wisconsin. Same For Michigan.
I agree that Black people are not going to come out in greater numbers for any Black VP nominee, but these candidates need to do more to excite the Black vote. Just talking about giving money to HBCUs is not going to do it.

This!

Having an old and all-White ticket in back-to-back elections against Donald f*cking Trump is atrocious.

If the Democratic Party is supposed to be the party of "youth and diversity"...then, we've got to show that.

Once the party influencers start saying a dem candidate NEEDS to pick a woman (or a woman of color) as a running mate, you put them in a box that they may not be able to get out of. A dem candidate needs to pick the best person(male or female) that will help them win the states they need to win the General. I don’t believe Stacey can appeal to a large portion of voters and make Them feel comfortable with her taking over should something happen to Biden.

Well thats the problem with Warren outside of her bread and butter argument which is anti wallstreet. She literally had no ideas for healthcare on her own. She gauges the public to see what the consensus is on a topic and then makes a decision and then changes it repeatedly. Yeah, hypothetically if she came out with the public option first, she would probably be ok. But at first she said she didnt want it and then changed it up.

No one knows what she actually truly thinks about healthcare, she refuses to stand behind her ideas even if they are wrong.

I trust people who believe in their ideas way more than a person who cherry picks the top ivy league interns working for her, to write and upload her policies on her website.

If she actually was drilled on her Public option plan in a debate, she'd get killed. Bc she refuses to just stick to anything with healthcare, she always will provide herself with an out, in case she thinks a poll will come out tomorrow with the majority disagreeing with her plan.

If you voted for her, you have no idea WTF shes going to do with healthcare

Black people aren't the reason Trump won. And honestly you aren't going to recreate the Obama affect.
