I really fukk with Booker man. I don't think he's gotten a fair shake through this process. I've felt this for awhile even before seeing this clip.
After the Spanish nonsense in the first debate can you blame them?

i think he's been treated quite fairly, but he came into senate as a "big name", didn't keep the momentum, jumped into a crowded race with diminished name recognition in a cycle where virtue signaling about not being backed by big money was the theme du jour and unfortunately for him he has ties to big pharma. the articles i've read covering him have mostly spoken about him positively, but the reality is he never had traction/timing wasn't right for him. he could be an interesting VP pick depending on who the nominee is

edit: and i'm someone who really wanted to like him with the school ties and all, but it wasn't meant to be for him from jump
Booker brings nothing to anyone’s table. What state can he turn as a VP?

Yale grad? :salute:

Some of his votes on pharma are problematic. Biden has similar issues but that hasn't imploded his campaign. I'm just a little surprised Booker hasn't at the very least cut into Biden's black support and reached in the high single digits.

it's not about states, it's about factions. if someone like liz or bernie won the nomination, he could help with POC and moderates.

Bookers view on pharma is fine. It’s one of the largest employers in the state which itself leads the world. There’s none of that in Vermont. That’s why they hate him.

Even granting your ridiculous claim that Warren has stolen Bernie's identity, that wouldn't be an attack or critique. Bernie is generally being ignored, not attacked. You know, the whole media blackout thing. The distinction is important because you can't ignore away a whole general election campaign, so should he win the nomination, he will start being attacked on bad faith bullshyt like Warren has been.
Except the mainstream media hasn't turned on Liz. Whatever "bad faith bullshyt" you're talking about has been mostly twitterverse stuff. I don't see it anyway other than the pregnancy one which was definitely a bad reach, but I don't recall it being in the mainstream media unless I'm mistaken.

I think you just call any critique of Liz "bad faith." As for your defenses of her, well they're...interesting. For instance, you took me to task for echoing one of the most widely-criticized aspects of her M4A plan: that is requires immigration reform, IRS reform, and labor reform to be functional. You basically said that criticism lacked bold vision for reform and other flowery stuff. Then when she folded and pushed that half ass Buttigiegcare, your defense turned into they're not going to have votes for M4A upon her entering office so who cares, just get the most you can get. Huh?

Anyway, her M4A was panned by critics from all over the political spectrum and they mostly revolved around the same criticisms: workability (requires other large legislative reforms to function, no mechanism to stop head tax avoidance/increases), the regressive nature of the head tax, and the timeline of it.

You called it all right wing attacks and suggested that somehow Bernie Sanders, the Jacobin type left, democratic socialists, etc. all became right wingers overnight (funny how such an unlikely thing happened) and you credited it all to Matt Bruenig. Never mind that people all over the net were sharing the same basic criticisms, they were all co-opted by the powerful propaganda of Matt Bruenig.

Your rationalization of Warren losing steam in the polls after that was simply that everyone criticizing her from the left was a Bernie stan who also happens to be a part-time crypto-Republican and they all formed like Voltron at once on the Internet and systematically took her down with bad faith attacks. And you blamed the media in there a little too.

I said these a while ago but his campaign made a mistake by not pushing baby bonds like Yang pushes UBI. It would of given him more of a identity along with having more focused answers.

I'm not a fan of his, but I really wanted him to push the Baby Bonds just so we could have that policy in front of more eyes.
