However the reason I say your statement is too broad is that a lot of Black women fighting against sexism are unfairly labeled as anti Black men feminists. I know a few Black women that talk about the specific challenges they face and simultaneously speak out against white racism.
.
i wish more black men would recognize this, feels like many black men want black women to just care about their black struggle and not voice frustration with/fight back against their struggle as women, specifically the double edge sword of being a black woman, as well.

I agree with this. Every candidate in the race, and the Democratic Party as a whole is guilty of this. I’m not even going talk about the republicans because they are basically a party full of White Supremacists. Dems do outreach to Black women, because they come out and vote at higher rates than Black men. And even the outreach to Black women is mostly superficial. Most politicians do not like making specific promises to us because they think it will alienate white voter. We desperately need a real Black lobbying group.

the CBC is our lobbyist group.

they asked for specific things for blacks with healthcare. Warren And Bernie said no.

Biden said yes. We have Biden’s ear way more than other candidates. That’s why I can’t understand why ppl would chastise the only candidate actually meeting with and helping with black issues.

he’s said yes to soooo many policies we’ve been asking for. He listens to us

Black men vote at relatively low rates so of course politicians will be less inclined to address our issues :yeshrug:

That's why Tariq's whole strategy of telling black people to vote even less :mjlol: is completely ass backwards
THIS X 1000
People that think withholding a vote is a threat are idiots. That just gets you ignored. It's worse than saying you'll vote for someone else.

I can’t consider the CBC a lobbying group, when they get lobbied themselves. There are good CBC members but as a whole they have a lot of corporate interest that don’t necessary line up with improving the Black community.

Biden retains lead in national poll

Former Vice President Joe Biden retained the lead in a national poll released Tuesday.

The Morning Consult poll shows Biden reaching 29 percent support nationally among registered voters likely to vote in a Democratic primary or caucus. He maintains a 9 percentage point lead over runner-up Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) nationally.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) slides into third place nationally with 15 percent support, followed by South Bend, Ind. Mayor Pete Buttigieg at 9 percent.
But among the “Early Primary State Voters” Biden’s lead at 25 percent shrinks to 5 percentage points over runner-up Sanders. Buttigieg jumps into third with 13 percent support in these states, followed by Warren with 12 percent.

The former vice president’s lead has dropped to its lowest point since he has announced his candidacy in April. Biden’s and Sanders’s support each fell 1 percentage point since last week.

Warren has experienced a 6 percentage point drop since her highest point from Sept. 29 to Oct. 20. Buttigieg, on the other hand, has risen in the polls 4 percentage points from his stagnant 5 percent status from mid-August to mid-October.

Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg has gained traction in the poll since his announcement to officially enter the race last week, jumping to 5 percent support and tying Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) for fifth place nationally.

Behind them, entrepreneur Andrew Yang has 4 percent, and Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.), Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii), Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) and philanthropist Tom Steyer sit at 2 percent.

Morning Consult interviewed 15,773 registered voters likely to vote in the Democratic primary or caucus. The poll was conducted between Nov. 25 and Dec. 1 and had a margin of error of 1 percent nationally and 4 percent among early primary state voters in Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and Nevada.

Corporate interests and Black issues aren't mutually exclusive.

You can not put black politicians in the same box as white ones when it comes to the corporate money they receive. Alot African American house members wouldn't be able to campaign without corporate dollars because they represent poorer black districts. Their constituents cant support them monetarily as other candidates could.

Thats why the Collective Pac The Collective PAC | Fighting for Equal Representation a black owned superpac is against progressive Democrats eliminating Super Pacs. We rely on that money to bring our issues to the forefront.

Too many progressive voters on this forum, think black politicians should mirror what white progressive candidates do. No corporate money, no pacs etc. Maybe 2-3 black candidates can pull that off, the rest sadly can not.

We have to start thinking of progressive policies from a Black viewpoint instead of a Monolithic white one. If you all continue to just believe in what white progressive candidates tell you what to think, "what's fair", "what represents the middle class" you guys are going to vote for positions that will kill movements any black candidates will have.

You're killing the movement without even realizing it, it's scary to read what some of the "progressive" people in here post, while not understanding how it will negatively impact Black politicians representing black populations.

We don't always fit in the box the progressive white liberals say everyone should.
