I never used him in anything, I'm not pretending Randle/Okafor will be a good pair defensively or will even work out. If it's really that awful then randle can come off the bench and we can pair Okafor with Davis in the short term.

I'm also not going to pretend that Pau wasn't a center for us for a large portion of his time with us. He may in fact be a "PF", but he played a lot at the FIVE for US so stop going on about how he's simply a PF when it's clear he can play both positions.

Kanter is not mobile at all. Dude's feet are always planted and he moves like a robot. Footwork and mobility isn't an issue for Randle or Okafor.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Didn't watch much Jazz basketball. But are you saying they had the ingredients to be a defensive front court but failed to be one??

Favors is one of the better defensive bigs in the league, Kanter is not, all it took is one weak link in the frontcourt and they were 26th in the league defensively with those two starting. Insert Gobert into the lineup for Kanter and they were the best defensive team in the league from that point on.

Cause I seen this movie before :yeshrug:

Can you answer why a 6'10" and 6'11" frontcourt like Kanter & Favors were so bad? Even though one of them is very athletic and borders on being elite and they had length at other positions.

I may be tripping but neither of those dudes are elite and one couldn't provide spacing so they were clogging the paint and more importantly neither were as talented as Okafor or Randle.

Both Okafor and Randle have greater defensive potential as a unit than Kanter and Favors

Okafor defensive highlights

Randle blocking your boy Gobert.

I don't see Okafor and Randle playing out the same way Kanter and Favors did defensively. They have the IQ and competitive drive to get better on that end.

Neither will come within 1000 feet of Favors on defense, how exactly do they have more defensive potential when a lot of the knocks on Okafor defensively are the same as Kanter? Their potential as a defensive unit isn't very high, and the Lakers will look for alternatives to help protect Okafor on defense, just like the Kings are doing right this very second with Cousins.

Well I guess the Lakers are fncked either way if they pick Okafor or Towns since Randle is such a horrible defender to you.

If the Lakers select Okafor, I'd rather see the two play together and the defensive scheme the Lakers use before I give up on them on the defensive end. I'd rather have Towns because of the fit and defensive potential no doubt but I'm not going speak in definites on two 19 year old prospects who haven't played a game in the NBA yet....that's all.
