It's not an ideal move but if they're going to trade anyone it almost has to be Noah. He has the lowest salary and the most effectiveness of anyone besides Derrick Rose. Nobody else has any trade value.

This has nothing to do with the Heat.

Rose's injury shortened the window for the team. Even if Rose comes back in Feb-March, it's gonna take him a bit to get back to that level. He's not gonna come back and make us contender level.

So it doesn't make sense to pay so much for a team that's gonna win. So we have to retool, cut some salary, get younger, get picks, hope we get another guy that can be a big time player for us.

I'd rather trade Deng, Noah is the only guy other than Rose I want to keep.

He considered getting rid of pippen on the stregnth of TONI KUKOC

Are people still going off that loyalty shyt Wade said a couple years ago?

Bulls Management Is Full Of Snakes

Just Look Back To 98 When They Threw Out Jordan Phil Scottie And Rodman :skip:

cant agree more, why do you think Jordan even clowned Krause in his hall of fame induction speech, that hate was deep

I actually blame Krause/Reinsdorf for us not having a few more titles (da bulls)

Exactly. Who were the Heat really scaring? Trouble with Indiana, taken to 7 with old and injured Boston, and close games with another 3 star (well 2 since Harden stayed home)team in OKC. They DO know we need more so Rose doesn't have to do it all and scare the hell out of the city like that again

I don't really like this trend of trading players after a couple of years of not winning it all, I mean they still have only had ONE full year together (10-11) under Thibs, I feel Taj Gibson can improve and maybe be a serious 2nd or 3rd option. Not sure that if they trade Noah or Deng they can get better, which might lead to another trade in a couple of years, and so on...why not let this group grow together, it's not like anyone is old either.

it actually started before the 98 season, The Bulls GM thought "organizations win titles, not players..." Jorda didn't like or respect him. neither did scottie or phil. so the fat fukk let's phil go after signing back to back 1 year deals, once phil walked Jordan retired and scottie was dealt to Houston. thus ending the Dynasty :pacspit: on that fat fukk

what exactly happened in 1998 with the bulls?

The summer of 1998 brought an abrupt end to the championship era.[11] Krause felt that the Bulls were on the verge of being too old and unable to compete. He decided that the team's only choices were to rebuild or endure a slow decline. His plan was to trade away the aging talent and acquire high draft picks while clearing salary cap space to make a run at several promising free agents in two years' time. After having been vetoed in a previous attempt by owner Jerry Reinsdorf, Krause traded Scottie Pippen for Roy Rogers (who was released in February 1999) and a conditional second-round draft pick from the Houston Rockets. He also decided not to re-sign Dennis Rodman, and traded Luc Longley and Steve Kerr for other draft picks. He hired a new coach, Tim Floyd, who had run a successful program at Iowa State University. Upon Phil Jackson's departure, Michael Jordan made his second retirement official. With a new starting lineup of point guard Randy Brown, shooting guard Ron Harper, newcomer Brent Barry at small forward, power forward Toni Kukoc, and center Bill Wennington, the team began the lockout-shortened 1998–99 season. Kukoc led the team in scoring, rebounding, and assists, but the team won only 13 of 50 games. The lowest point of the season came on April 10th in a game against the Miami Heat. In that game, the Bulls scored 49 points to set an NBA record for the fewest points in a game in the shot clock era.

At least Krause isn't there anymore
