going forward the senate is going to be a serious problem for dems. republicans making rapid grown among white voters is going to be really noticeable in a chamber where small white states are disproportionately represented. so we kinda fukked there.

Exactly. They just need to work on turning minorities, young/educated white voters in the suburbs, and getting the Midwest solid (Michigan, Wisconsin, etc.).

Last thing they need to do is ignore their own base and waste time trying to win mythical working-class white voters that'll never vote for them anyway. All that does is depress Dem turnout.

Dems have to be smart to pick the right ticket to stop Trump because they got the popular vote but if Florida goes down the way it did last night they have to make inroads in NC and VA along with the midwest. I hate to say I hoped Menendez lost last night if we were able to still retain the house. One case where I hoped the Republican would win, just for one term, and we're able to get rid of the trash there and next election a new democratic face can come in and start clean.

Dude needs to get out of here and national party should have done more to try and dump him. It's not a good look.

yup the more the republican party becomes the party of white people then the more likely they have an easier path to senate majorities because there are more than enough states with 85+% white people.
