Not really, the senate easy a long shot for Dems this go round because they were only defending 2 seats and Dems lost 2 seats that were already in gop strong hold states where he dem was vulnerable..

2020 gop will be defending 20 seats with trump on the ballot... they gonna lose at minimum prob half those seats, and you already know GOP itching to primary trump especially after getting washed in the congressional and state wide seats last night

Dems have to be smart to pick the right ticket to stop Trump because they got the popular vote but if Florida goes down the way it did last night they have to make inroads in NC and VA along with the midwest. Taking back PA, Wisconsin, Ohio and Michigan which is doable after last nights results.

I could barely sleep last night, I was so disturbed by Abrams and especially Gillum losing. I'm still disturbed and angry. Gillum losing and the crypt keeper Nelson getting more votes than him is one of the biggest slaps in the face of amerikkkan racism in recent memory. shyt like this makes you want to pack your bags and chunk the deuce to this evil ass country. But what last night showed me, especially with the exit polls that the fear mongering and racism is this country is so overt now.

Thinking about it now and letting it soak in, I truly believe there's a 95% chance Trump will be re-elected....

Here's how the next two years will go: Trump now has his other "boogyman" aka dems in the house, they'll block every move he makes, ask for tax returns, flirt with impeachment, fillerbuster bills, along with Trump flaming it even more with immigrants and other racist rhetoric...

Some are saying "save us Mueller", listen Mueller will give his report, but if you think the senate and other republicans will get behind that then I have a bridge to sell you...

Even if trump is indicted, if he ran he would win again. This country(racist ass whites) is showing it's true colors.For example A state like texas where all the major counties went for Beto, but because it's so big along with gerrymandering he still lost the state. Or a guy like Guillum being the victim of the Bradley effect..

In 2000, when Florida decided the election. Legislation was brought up to change the electoral college and make the popular vote count and it got shot down. even by some democrats because they went "HIGH"..

I just believe at this point unless something drastic changes, whomever runs against Trump in 2020 will lose... I didn't think that was possible weeks, and months ago but tonight reaffirmed what we already knew. People need to face that reality and stop kidding themselves. Trump's says and does what a lot of whites you may talk to about football, sit next to in the cubicle, etc.. who never say anything but are 100% on board with his ideology.... Also the "suburban white woman" is probably more racist than the white men in this country..smh

Them dems have some control now, but to overthrow him wont be an easy task. And people saying "biden, biden, biden".. I just have a strange feeling that guy has a me too in his closet. But he may be the best hope and even that's a long shot...

So many pages to read from last night but in IL, we flipped two GOP congressional races with one race being won by Lauren Underwood, a black woman in a majority white district. We also got Roskam out of there. He's a big loss for the GOP. We also flipped the Governor from red to blue. I'm excited about all the new elected POC and Dems balancing out some of the GOP's power with taking the House.

Which makes me wonder what is so different now? Ossoff was a way better candidate IMO

for the same reason i believe that abrams wouldn't have a chance in a runoff election and her best shot was in the general. too much national focus would be on the race and when a state or district leans republican that's the last thing you want. she was able to campaign in her district in peace and not be some referendum on democrats, republicans, trump, pelosi, whoever.

Last night was still a good night for Democrats. fukk what other people are saying. Even though people like Gillium and Beto lost last night who I think a lot of people wanted them to pull an upset (emphasis on this word), we still got some major wins. i don't think you're remembering that right, if anyone went high it was because they didn't want to give anyone false hope and know what a waste of time it would be entertaining fantasy at that point. the electoral college is enshrined in the constitution. a constitutional amendment getting rid of it isn't simply a vote in congress.
