$15 can work out depending on your lifestyle. Im a single woman who lives with my parents and my only bills are related to my car. $15/hr can take me far. But if you got kids, live in an apartment, live up north, then its probably not enough.
The point is what everyone considers an acceptable standard of living isn’t the same.
I don’t know why that’s so hard for some of y’all to understand.
Someone not thinking 15/hr is enough doesn’t necessarily mean they can’t mange money or have 3 baby mammas. It could just mean they have a different opinion on what constitutes living.
everything you're saying I've already said in this discussion - I know you probably don't wanna back and read it but, it's there.
my point is that being adamantly against a reality (that you CAN live off of 31K a year in 90% of u.s cities) tells me that there is more it than just "you can't do it!"
A) that's not enough to support your lifestyle
B) you've got children or co-dependents
both are fine, just say it.

People should be making 20$ an hour
your boss ain't ya friend, and neither are business owners
Yeah but the point of the thread is that it isn't a lot of money. Not whether you can live off of it.
thats looks nice on the inside but 6k/monthIt was $6,000 actually, 2 bedrooms and 2.5 baths, only 1677 square feet

The numbers were for the average person. I'm driving a 99 Ford Taurus so no car note. Good luck finding a place under $700 in my area. Lowest around here is $675 (not including utilities) and that would give my commute an extra 1 hour +. Take away the car note, still paying insurance. Natural fed meat to last a week ends up around $40-50. Unless I'm eating beans, rice and broccoli every week, you will be hitting minimum $70 a week.
The point was that $15 an hour isn't a lot of money. It isn't. I would be barely making it, god forbid I have an emergency. Doable isn't living. That is struggling.
Trump is tearing through that shyt. Everyone's health benefits are going up 9.75% next year.
I pay $60 out my paycheck.
My deductible is $3500
Until I hit it, I gotta pay out of pocket.
Went to the allergist (under my plan) and the dude wasted my time and didn't help.
Got a bill for $550.
I got a sinus infection and went to pick up my prescription for antibiotics.
$175
Got the bill for the doctor visit.
$355
I'm legit scared to get glasses now
God speed fam
you got some fake ass insurance. All that stuff is classified as "preventive care" and does not require a deductible.
You need to sue your company homie. They in violation.
Preventive care is things like annual exams, mammograms, screenings test and certain types of shot depending on the insurance, like mine..eye exams.Who classifies it as preventive care? I'll admit i'm ignorant to this kinda stuff.
I thought each health insurance company could do their own thing. There are guidelines they have to follow?
Or are there grey areas where they can pull shyt like this.
You don’t got no relatives you can throw your son with ?Man my son's day Care is like 1350 a month
$15 should be a minimum wage

Them nikkas is super broke then. Definitely shouldn’t be using that as a barometer. Most of this country is struggling thoughi know several people that would sell a kidney for a 15/hr job right now.

I didn’t want to make it seem like I was shytting on them lol. I personally know people who make under 15 (we all do) but it’s hard to be comfortable and have the “American lifestyle” on that. America runs on creditdid you just have a real life:
