Why yall nikkas constantly pushing STEM and medical
It’s cacs I know with a 11th grade education making 6 figures as a union electrician or union millwright..I went to apply to the pipefitters union and I was the only breh there outta like 70
you don't understand how the labor market works do you? More people unemployed means more downward pressure on wages.$15 should be minimum down south... it really isn't alot, but that's just enough.
I agree. Workforce could be cut and pay increased. Alot of lazy people taking up space...
I did it at 18. I was a union laborer apprentice doing heavy highway construction making $24 an hour. This was in 2017/18. Great moneyFolks push STEM and Medical because there are simply more jobs. In New England, where I live, RNs can make $90k. There are around 21k electricians in the state of IL, but there are around 700k nurses. There is a shortage in both fields. Which field do you think has the highest number of job openings? A Nurse is gonna get guaranteed hours and benefits, not so for the electrician. I personally know nurses who don't put up with crappy bosses, as they know they can quit and find a job at a nursing home, outpatient facility, or other hospital. Good luck burning a bridge amongst the good ole boy system in the trades. How many pipefitters do you think there are in IL, 2000, 1000, 500? Drop another 200 in the state and watch their pay rates drop. "Learn a Trade" is the new "Learn to Code" meme. Its simply not a universal solution. It may make for great advice to a particular individual, in a particular location, but that's about it.
10 cents an hour is too much for trash service. But the solution isnt to punish and disincentivize honest hard working employees with meager wages.$15 is way too much for people working at McDonald's and Wendy's......the service they provide is TRASH!!
Now people that work at Chick-fil-A should easily be making $15.... they only hire strong workers with great attitude

You think theres 700k nurses in a state of 12 million total population? There are around 21k electricians in the state of IL, but there are around 700k nurses
