$15.00 an hour isn't a lot of money.

Forget that Farm workers were replaced with machinery; it was called the industrial revolution
this is irrelevant to my point and you know it.

But sure, ill play the game. Can you explain to the class WHO is operating that machinery?

You didn't have a point and your question is irrelevant to the point I raised

Why yall nikkas constantly pushing STEM and medical :what:

It’s cacs I know with a 11th grade education making 6 figures as a union electrician or union millwright..I went to apply to the pipefitters union and I was the only breh there outta like 70

Folks push STEM and Medical because there are simply more jobs. In New England, where I live, RNs can make $90k. There are around 21k electricians in the state of IL, but there are around 700k nurses. There is a shortage in both fields. Which field do you think has the highest number of job openings? A Nurse is gonna get guaranteed hours and benefits, not so for the electrician. I personally know nurses who don't put up with crappy bosses, as they know they can quit and find a job at a nursing home, outpatient facility, or other hospital. Good luck burning a bridge amongst the good ole boy system in the trades. How many pipefitters do you think there are in IL, 2000, 1000, 500? Drop another 200 in the state and watch their pay rates drop. "Learn a Trade" is the new "Learn to Code" meme. Its simply not a universal solution. It may make for great advice to a particular individual, in a particular location, but that's about it.

$15 should be minimum down south... it really isn't alot, but that's just enough.

I agree. Workforce could be cut and pay increased. Alot of lazy people taking up space...
:mjlol: you don't understand how the labor market works do you? More people unemployed means more downward pressure on wages.

I did it at 18. I was a union laborer apprentice doing heavy highway construction making $24 an hour. This was in 2017/18. Great money

Pay rates will never drop if you’re in a union

$15 is way too much for people working at McDonald's and Wendy's......the service they provide is TRASH!!:francis:

Now people that work at Chick-fil-A should easily be making $15....:wow: they only hire strong workers with great attitude:sas2:
10 cents an hour is too much for trash service. But the solution isnt to punish and disincentivize honest hard working employees with meager wages.

It would be much more practical to bring back standards and just to get rid of the dead weight to make up the cost.

But it is 2023 and being lazy, gaming the system and getting the bag at the expense of the rest of society, the few of us with an iota of integrity left who value hard work and fair play, is not just a valid life choice, but literally encouraged, supported and glorified. The name of the game is for both sides, employers and employees, to compete to see who can scam, exploit and fukk the other side the hardest. With the rest of us, the fukking customer, stuck in the middle catching all the strays.

Welcome to the manufactured apocalypse yall :blessed:

Buckle in, cause they are literally just getting started :francis:

Depends.

If you are retired and working part-time, and only drive a mile or two to work. $15.00 is good money.

My lady works in HR at a hospital. That bit about the nurses is so spot on, it's crazy. Nurses know that, for the most part, they can pick and choose their opportunities.

Yeah $15 an hour ain't shyt especially if you live in the city or near it cost of living has shot through the roof so a living wage should be around $20-$25 and before anyone says shyt these corporations make billions on billions they got the money they just tell you they don't...:stopitslime:
