$125k fully remote or $165k three days on site, which would you choose?

I think some people are overlooking what fully remote looks like. You can live anywhere and save a lot on living expenses

However, the commute matters in the question. 5 minutes away from home vs. 45 minutes away is a big difference. If it's only 5 minutes away I can do the 165K.

Looking at the money alone, 125k. Because of taxes it is basically 78k vs 99k. Not trivial, but at that amount it'd be easy to offset by living in a cheaper city.

I'd likely go with the 165k because of career progression. It is easier to network and accumulate favours with face to face interaction.

$125 is worth the loss to save money on the commute, and my mental health both commuting, and being at work. I know this personally. I hate days I have to work in the office.

Why are you assuming fully remote means staying in the same city?? There is nothing in the question that says you must stay in the same city, it says fully remote, that's it.
