Joshua said he's not making 85 million..maybe 30% of that..said he WISHES he was making 85 mili for the fight.

He does earn it but he’s talking about after tax and paying his team which is normal.

“When you look at it, it’s like, you earn £100, you pay a lot to the tax man, a lot to the trainer, and before you know it you’re left with, in reality, 30 or 40 per cent.”

That’s what he said, think that’s with any income over a certain amount, will have to pay tax, management, trainers, for camp etc.

Also 40 percent of 85 million is still 35 mil so it’s not like he’s starving. Plus any fighter, business or brand will have those costs. Pretty much every fighter pays their training team, none of it is free. Just AJ is doing it out of 85 million, which is a better position to be in than a fighter making 1 million and has to pay their whole team out of that and also tax. All he said was out of the 85 mil he’s making he has to pay his employees but some seem to be making a big deal out of it to create a false narrative that doesn’t really exist. I’m not sure where this comes out of, possibly jealously or a stanning of another fighter who makes significantly less so that makes them feel better even though other fighters have to pay costs to those they employ too.

Its Canelo level money..so its wonderful. But if he loses, he'll never be seen the same way again.

Of course, if he loses his purses will go down , still will probably be very big and bigger than most cause of his commercial value but doubt he’ll be getting 85 mil type money again for a while.

Looking at some footage from Saudi today, AJ looks a lot leaner, interested how this will effect the fight. He should be faster for sure.

Yeah he can hide in the UK and steal money from them but in reality, he'll just be a contender until he gets brave enough to face Wilder or Fury.

It’s not about being brave enough, if he loses he’d still be willing to fight them, infact he’d love that, it’s whether they will fight him, the splits also will change if he loses again, he won’t get as much as he would have before. There’s still a lot of fights for him if he wants it, even Jarrel Miller if he loses would be quite an entertaining fight that I’d watch still cause of the hostility between the 2. Dillian Whyte I know wants to fight AJ again win lose or draw too, so there’s big fights for him if he wants it still, the splits will just not be as much in his favour as they are now.
