What I'll say about this is that Joshua showed he could adapt..he boxed instead of seeking a KO...the jab worked in his total favor all night because Ruiz couldnt get inside with any crisp hooks or right hands...he was neutralized by not finding that success this time.

Ruiz really thought he could enter the pocket with power shots :francis:

He still has a couple of things going for him. He is going to make a good payday from this fight. He now has a bigger fan base.

At this point in time, there's some paydays for him. Maybe not the AJ paydays, but he can be matched against some other guys, or easily be preserved and used as an opponent for Wilder. Wilder's always going to need opponents.

But yeah, he needs to take care of his money. He really should invest in his boxing career, now that he has the resources to do so.

He couldn't eat Salmon, because it didn't "feel" right? He wasn't use to being on a clean diet. Maybe you should eat clean, let your body get acclimated to it, and then go into camp mufukka.

These guys never want to be year round athletes. Only want to train during camp.

I was saying this to my boy, he only has 2 losses the one against Parker is contentious and he handed AJ his first defeat, he ain't done he will get other chances. He does need to get his mind right though

Lmao at Wilder having the nerve to slate AJ for not dominating the fight even though he won every round

Whereas this clown was losing every round against Ortiz until the knockout

bytch ass nygga also had to rely on biased judges to avoid defeat to Fury

But this is the champion of black Americans and their last hope :laff:

Good win for AJ but AJ career is basically over as a great fighter. He will never be remembered as a great. Good entertaining champ but he just fought an unmotivated Ruiz like Ruiz really is a destroyer. Ruiz been an a over average HW for a long time. AJ treated him like he was the most dangerous Heavy of all time lol...

Ruiz just didn’t try hard enough. I’m an AJ fan but if you get somebody to pounce on AJ/Wlad it’s over. Ruiz took some from AJ that he will never get back. AJ fought good but he fought scared to death. Wlad lasted long like that no doubt but the world had higher hopes for AJ. AJ won’t even touch the heights of Lennox Lewis.

Nahh gtfo

And what do you mean wont even touch the heights of Lennox Lewis. Lewis is an all time great who beat the top heavyweights of his era. What else was he supposed to do?

You must a Wilder fan :laff:

I am a fan but I had higher hopes. He fought scared as hell against Ruiz. Ruiz!!!?!!!!! Ruiz was never known to be a killer. He was scared shytless. Just like I’m the first GGG/Canelo fight I knew GGG would never be the same. Once a fighter fights scared it’s OV. All the other heavies see blood now. AJ heart is still questionable.

Lewis was in a better era than we got now. Yea people wanted AJ to get to the heights of Lewis. That knock a knock on AJ people just thought he was going to transcend the sport. If he end up a black Wlad he then that’s good. But I think prime Wlad would is better tho.

I’m a fan of the sport of boxing. That stanning shyt for wierdos

Ruiz had imposter syndrome and self-sabotaged. Pity because he is a genuinely good fighter. Now AJ, Wilder, and perhaps even Fury should fight themselves and let's settle this debate once and for all/

I went to sleep and woke up and still can’t believe Ruiz fumbled it so badly.

I didn’t think he was going to win, my money was always on AJ. But the fact he said he didn’t train hard enough, didn’t listen to his coaches and trained by himself:russ:

This fool really made a couple mill and thought he was going walk back in the ring and win again.

Now he wants to go again? Smh
