But you said he's struggled at 135?

He's fought 4 fights at 135, two ko's and dominated the other two fights?

I don't think 135 is his natural weight, but it's incorrect to say he's struggled there.

He hasn't looked untouchable at 135 like he did at the lower weights.
If you don't think he has struggled, cool, we'll just agree to disagree.

Crolla is a joke though and Linares he was arguable losing until he caught a notoriously glass jaw fighter.
.
Linares went down off a good bodyshot? Irrespective, Linares and Crolla are both big 135 (Luke Campbell even more so) and Lomachenko has so far handled them all with his usual work rate and efficiency.

Yeah he caught him up and took his soul with a body shot. That said, Linares is a career of being a choke artist that fails when the pressure is on. Like when DeMarco took his soul and relieved him of his senses.

Thing is Loma is gonna be small to everyone at 135 and him going up to chase Mikey Garcia was foolish IMHO. But again, we'll just have to agree to disagree with how loma stands at 135 imho.

So then how is it that many fighters from older eras who didn't use x number of coaches in camp but only had 1 trainer who took care of anything could go 15 rounds without emptying their tank? The skills of fighters didn't improve either by today compared to the times where trainers didn't use supporting stuff so it seems the extra time trainers got to care about boxing technique didn't result in anything substantial either.

Maybe it's controversial but imo how a fighter has to be conditioned should be known best by an actual boxing trainer, in ideal case. Maybe today there's just not enough quality boxing trainers who take the effort but they rather outsource parts of the job to others, idk man... Oldschool trainers didn't use them and they were just fine.

I'm not just talking about endurance, I'm talking about optimising every aspect of training....sure a boxing coach could handle endurance easy...But if you got money to get a specialist why fukk around ? Free up the boxing coach to work on shyt that matters...especially when there's millions at stake...

If you think of our bodies as cars a fast twitch guy goes from 0-60 quicker than someone w the scales balanced in the slow twitch favor. But there is a bigger cost in regards of gas.

A good example of anslow twitch fighter is Margarito gets stronger as the fight goes on and does more accumulative damage kos.

Edit info like this is why s & c coaches are important in today's game. You get workouts customized to your body type to benefit you in the places your genetics dont. I still remember the days nikkas were :hhh: in regards of using weights in boxing training.
As someone whos been around weight cutters, do you think he can bring his power up with a legit camp? I didn't see that the power was gone....it more looked like tank himself wasn't close to 100% cause he got sloppy af. Thoughts?

I'm not a huge Loma fan, but he matches up to the hype. Dude's hating on Loma's performance's are just that, haters.

Coli boxing narrative runs deep, and cats hate to admit they're wrong. Its bizarre.
