To put it in context:
Hatton: undefeated at the time, very good win

JMM: Just jumped up to 147, Floyd also purposefully didn't make weight, this takes from its value, however as we later saw JMM was giving hell to Pac (another small 147er) at 147 all the same while Mayweather blunted him. Not a bad win overall.

Cotto: Past his best by the time but nevertheless he was coming off his revenge on Margarito, and he showed up to the Floyd fight, gave him one of his toughest outings, a good win.

Canelo: Canelo being green at the time and Floyd demanding him to make 152 takes from its value but Canelo was already a world-class fighter by the time and he was coming off a win VS Trout. Mayweather blunted him too, today Canelo is a much improved fighter compared to then but still a very good win.

Maidana: While many thought it was going to be an easy outing for Floyd, Maidana was coming off of beating the breaks off of Broner and he was in his fighting prime, his work with Robert Garcia bore fruit. As we all know he gave Floyd probably his toughest fight ever since Castillo 1 so I would say that also counts for a very nice win. The rematch too where Floyd adjusted, moved around more and won more convincingly.

Pac: This should have happened years earlier than it did, by this time both were past their primes BUT they both were ranked top 3 P4P. Iirc Floyd was universally ranked first at the time and Pac was ranked either second or third behind Chocolatito, depending on the ranker. So it was still a great win imo especially how easily he beat Pac.
Hatton had went life and death with Juan Urango at 140 and was fighting floyd at 147. He also wasnt a great fighter.himself, he made his name and got his title fighting a semi retired.Koysta Tsyu. Imho. Good name bad fight at 147.

Jmm means nothing because JMm didnt train for it to be a 147 fight like he did for Manny. That floyd disrespectfully disregarded the weight limit like he did takes away all props he could ever get for bring Marquaz to 147'

Cotto was done after the.first Margo fight. By the time of the rematch margo was a one eye fighter who had his wraps exposed and kod by shane and humiliated by manny. He picked up a vacant title off yuri foreman and defended it against mayorga, he was a joke at 154. Not a good fight at all for floyd, especially at 154 at that time.

Canelo was a joke fight and he embarrassed him, the pointless catchweight makes it a even more worthless fight.

Maidana showed up after his broner and it was a great fight, but this is the same maifana thatvwas schooled bybdevon alexander, a legit 147 guy at the time, to get a floyd fight after beating broner like broner meant anything at the 147 weight is crazy. He definitely brought it in their first fight, but to say these were fights where Floyd took chances, isnt honest to me

Lol, no it isnt. Dont get names mixed up with high level comp.

He fought some great names after oscar @ 154, but not great fighters. Its not all his fault.
Bruh it’s business considering the amount of money and the fighters available to make said money those were good fights

Who said it isnt a business?
Fact of the matter is floyd coasted after Oscar, thats his perrogative but its his legacy that took the hit for business.

What I’m saying is he fought the best fighters that could make the most money besides Berto of course

He fought Robert Guerrero too...
In retrospect Victor Ortiz was a meh match but I think at the time it was viewed as a tough one
3 trash opponents in a decade span ain't bad at all and shyts on the majority of welterweights match making today
