This is exactly why they should have tanked this season, shyt now that they got him signed they should move Gasol and be horrible.

They could have been top 3 in the lottery of one of the deepest drafts in years, with tons of cap space. Instead now they got half their cap tied up in two 35+ players coming off injury.:flabbynsick:

yup

i always wanted kobe to sit all year

with kobe making such a ridiculous amount of money they have to have an impact rookie on a 3-5 million dollar salary to balance things out

they obviously have to get rid of nash

well here is the difference between me (black man) and you (cac)

I put myself in the position of the player not the GM or owner. If I was Kobe I'd want to be paid my worth. fukk taking some discount. I'd like to see all these cacs wanting brothas to not get paid their market worth take a pay cut at their job. You on the other hand are putting yourself in the position of the white man cutting the checks. That is why this idea is so foreign to you. I respect Kobe for gettin his money. Fukk these co0ns taking pay cuts just to please the cac fans. Its on the organization to find players to win alongside Kobe. It ain't kobe's job to give them his money to pay other players.

I'd like to see you give up part of your salary so your boss can sign another employee to help you do your job. :stopitslime:

he said kobe fans should be happy, laker fans who want to contend for a title shouldn't.....he's right

we don't need to attack race everytime we disagree with somebody. aren't you half white anyway? :russ::

i know the cap was different back then. but does anyone know how much jordan's last contract was for?

http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_much_did_the_Chicago_Bulls_pay_Michael_Jordan_per_year

96-97: $30,000,000 (Adjusted for inflation about 50 Million in today's Dollars)

97-98: $33,000,000

But remember, up until that point (84-96) Jordan was woefully paid below market value and he could have restructured at anytime during his contract, which would have hurt the first three-peat team. Instead, he rode it out and waited for the contract to expire and hit management with the bill at the end.

Oh and (mostly likely) unlike Kobe, he won Championships and Two Finals MVPs during those final two years.

you must not be familar with how NBA cap spaces works, a 36 year old kobe taking up over +30% of the cap is one of the worst signings in the league within hte last few years

Making money is more important than winning to a corporation. Kobe = $$$
