Wilder has already been invited to the AJ fight and turned it down, he's fighting Ortiz now so there's no point, fight isn't happening anytime soon, if the reports are correct he'll be fighting Ortiz, Kownacki, Fury (possibly twice) or Whyte and then possibly AJ, which would be hugely disappointing. I could tell from his recent interview with TBV he didn't want the fight and it wasn't happening. If it happens, no guarantee at all now because it's no guarantee AJ would beat Usyk and no guarantee Wilder beats Fury and to a lesser extent Whyte, but if it does the earliest it could possibly be is late 2020, but even that seems optimistic at this point, it could be 2021 or even 2022, or even 2023, it depends how long he decides to duck for. Neither of them are unbeatable, very possible 1 could lose before it happens and they get tied up. To lock himself into this fight is a clear sign he isn't serious about the fight happening and doesn't want it, him and AJ would have both been free after the weekend and could have made this at the end of the year.
Pretty much its exactly what the manager said..his next 3 fights are Ortiz, Fury, Joshua.

And Joshua has to beat the Mexican kid first..so it's not cut and dry.

Plus I heard Deontay is starting his movie career with a remake of this, at least he's qualified for the role...

The fight gonna be on PPV? The numbers on this could be really poor if so, no-one really wants to see this.

Who the fukk asked for this :laff: obvious duck of fury and aj. Hell a whyte fight would be better than this

This is the definition of ducking, he announces his fight right before the AJ fight so the pressure can't be put on him to fight AJ. Doing anything possible to duck the fight and tie himself up.

Mannix is butt hurt over this.

Good points. It's extremely disappointing, they are taking the fans for idiots (the Wilder dikkriders cult don't count cause they are too stupid to know better), but anyone with sense isn't happy with this, it's bad for the sport. At 34 (which he will be later this year) should be fighting the best right now, no time to delay fights, maybe he's looking for an excuse if AJ knocks him out? This is 1 of the worst cases of ducking have ever seen in the sport, embarresing. It's not baffling though , he's clearly obviously ducking, he knows AJ is likely to win vs Ruiz and he don't want that fight so is deliberately tying himself up. His recent interview it was obvious this was happening, could tell clearly he didn't want it, doing any and everything possible to duck it.

Deontay needs to take this fight very seriously.
Its still dangerous.
I hope he doesn't overlook it like he did Fury.

As for AJ, AJ and his fans lost all ability to talk about ducks, when AJ said give me 50 million dollars and Haymon gave him 50 million dollars and he said nah, it isn't about the money.
