A native 1080p image will always look better on a native 1080p screen does On 4K No matter the upscaling

get the Mbox and the ps4 will put out 1440p on a 1440p monitor and you will see it looks way better than the 4K because that’s the resolution of the pro games

I'm just talking about in general. I have 1080p TVs in my house but my dad has 4K TVs all throughout his house and I don't see the difference. But I noticed that shyt that is broadcast/streamed is lower quality than actual media from a disc or hard drive so that may also be why I don't see a discernable difference, or it could be my previously mentioned terrible eyesight.

Respectfully to your father, are they GOOD 4K TVs? Them 300 dollar Walmart LCD joints and an OLED are night and day.

That's before we get into source material, room lighting, etc.

I agree. I haven't bought a 4K screen yet and I been cool with 1080p. If I gamed on a PC and could get high frames with 4K it would be different, but since I knew the consoles were better optimized for 1080p I wasn't in any rush to get a 4K set or monitor

4K and good hdr is awesome in a good, large screen. On a small screen tho (laptop cellphone iPad etc) I’m good with 1080p

1080P is still good on a 1080P screen but 4K is way better. More fine detail and clarity. I use 1080P screens at work but at home use ultrawide 1440P and 4K. I'm personally content with all of them.
