I need Alvarez to go through the growing pains at catcher next year and he'll have a lot of help in all aspects of the game with Verlander and Scherzer. Man catching 2 hall of farmers and probably a hall of famer in Jake in his first year in the bigs basically.

Huge difference between 2 years and 5 years. If Verlander gives you one great year and 1 ok year, you're happy. If Jacob gives you 2 great years and then is injured off and on for 3 it's a disaster.
