I can understand not being pumped about Fitzpatrick, but when your options are Geno or Hackenberg

Where is anybody saying geno is a beacon of hope?
The only thing any of us are saying is geno should get 1 last shot. He's been through a lot,hopefully he's matured and grown and can play better. He doesn't have the Rex clown show and now would have weapons.
If he stinks then we would want him gone because he has no excuses.
And it ain't even about geno. If they went with hack or petty I would even get behind that because at least we don't know what we might get.
Fitz is 34 years old, just threw away the post season on 3 straight picks, can't throw a ball more than 10 yards and has an entire career of losing.
We know what Fitz is. And we know he isn't good enough.

I'm not gonna cape for Fitz like I'm a fan of his but if you had to watch Hackenberg try and play in the NFL you would break shyt. I was beyond shocked he got drafted where he did. I watched a shytload of his tape and he has the worst arm I've ever seen any hyped qb have. It's gross.
The whole Geno situation just seems like a mess and I doubt a new regime wanted deal with it.
The Hckenberg pick was puzzling to me too. I think he sucks tbh, but at least Maccagnan recognizes the need to find a QB. Which is a start.

This is a franchise who has started Brooks Bollinger, Mark Sanchez and Greg Mccelroy over the last 10 years. Fitzpatrick shouldnt be the guy that makes you not watch. It could be a lot worse.

Fans rather a known prospect than an unknown. Geno is still an unknown project and that scares fans because they don't know what to expect so they settle for mediocrity. People are scared of the unknown
