Yea because drafting ur 2 most important needs in the top 3 rounds (qb,lb)

Is something that only the patriots do and is a total risk

The Lee pick was fine in a vacuum. The issue is we have an aging offense and just never want to draft offense, ever. Hackenberg legit sucked in college. I hope he magically becomes good and is the Jets starter for a decade, but the deck is totally stacked against that.

If macc is true to his philosophy and we suck that bad with a chance for a sure fire franchise qb next draft we won't pass up on him.

I hope so. My thing is that Macc said he's gonna sit this year. Why not take a chance at him? Meaning he sees something in him and doesn't want to rush him in and ruin it. I mean you could say the same about Bryce Petty, but Petty was a 4th rounder. When you take somebody in the 2nd you expect them to at some point at least try to contribute.

IDK, I'm just not liking this at all. I guess I'll root for us to get Leonard Fournette next year. Can't hurt to get the next Adrian Peterson :yeshrug:

He needs to unlearn all the bad habits he formed after BoB left PSU. If he plays at all next year something has gone horribly wrong.

The Panthers drafted Jimmy Clausen 48th overall in 2010 and didn't hesitate to throw him in the bushes when they had the opportunity to draft Cam. If the Jets are picking at the top of the draft and there's a franchise level guy there, we'd take him.

Not a fan of picking RBs with 1st rounders. You can buy them cheap and can find good ones damn near everywhere.

Maccagan's now got two things that can currently make or break him...Hackenberg vs Lynch.

What's the other?

Just the two outcomes. Lynch being good and Hackenberg sucking or vice versa. Personally I dont see the value of using such an asset on a position that rarely ever pans out from the late second round on. I didnt think Cardale was much of a prospect either, but you can stomach him later vs using such a high pick on Hackenberg.

Fair enough. Carolina played Clausen though. Not sure Macc will want to give up on Hackenberg without seeing him play. If so then what's the use on wasting a 2nd rounder like that.

I'm ok with spending a 1st on a RB if he's that good. And while I was joking with the "next AP" comment, I do like Fournette alot and think he's going to be a very good back :manny:

That was tongue in cheek, I wasn't being serious
