The worst part is that we're gonna suck next year. Probably be in a good position to draft a QB next year in a much better draft class. We're gonna pass up on Watson, Kaaya, and Kelly for Christian fukking Hackenberg :snoop:

I'm praying we don't suck that bad. Just suck enough for Leonard Fournette and I'll be happy
If macc is true to his philosophy and we suck that bad with a chance for a sure fire franchise qb next draft we won't pass up on him.

I don't necessarily think we'll suck that bad next year. We'll have a strong defense as well as an offensive guru partnered with Geno, Forte, Marshall, Decker,Thompkins/Peake and maybe Devin. Chan Gailey has done more with less in his career.

Which makes Petty last year and ESPECIALLY Hackenberg this year awful picks. It shows lack of foresight. I get that his job isn't to believe we'll suck next year, but there is nothing Hackenberg can do this year that can prevent Mac from doing this same song and dance again next year with another QB.

Not the same thing. They weren't intending on being awful the year they took Clausen. They took a chance and played Clausen. He didn't play well and they won the #1 pick. There's a good chance we pick a QB without either Hackenberg or Petty ever seeing the field.

The schedule alone indicates we'll be picking high next season no matter what we do.

Nothing wrong with picking QB's...id just shy away from the ones who complete 50% of their passes in the friggin Big 10.

if you're gonna pick a QB and you THINK he can be something other than a backup for you, commit, especially when you use a high pick to get him. I mean commit in the sense of believing at some point he'll start for you. Otherwise, spare the "we believe in him" stuff. They clearly don't if they're gonna do this all over again next year, and they will.

The Jets draft like they're the Patriots or some shyt and have the luxury of constantly taking risky projects that may work out

If you're Mac and you're from a certain school of thought, then you pick who you believe is the best available QB reardless, until you strike paydirt. And of course you tell every QB you pick you believe in them until they show that they're not worth that vote of confidence otherwise. You go for that guy every year. I believe that defense wins chips, but you gotta have a good QB regardless. I believe in Geno, but fact of the matter is, he turned the ball over a lot. So did Marky Mark, with that 09-10 defense, what we could have done. :ahh:

Why not? At some point, if we really want to make it do what it do, we gotta suck on some porn star shyt. We gotta get high draft picks and build through the draft. As sports town, New Yorkers, we hate sucking. It's necessary though. Otherwise we're going to continue to have to overspend in free agency. Look at what franchises like Jackson and Cleveland played it. Sometimes you gotta be terrible. Look at the Giants, they continuously go through 2-3 years at time in which they stink. fukk it, i been drinking. I don't know what the fukk I'm talking about.

if fitz doesn't re-sign.. i have a hard time believing that hackenberg won't be starting some time this season.

maybe geno becomes a solid starter :ehh:

let hackenberg play.. and if he doesn't show some sort of promise with this group of weapons.. :camby:
