Intimation, Alonzo dropped Jake off over there to get murked out (and possibly raped? :scust:) have Jake feeling kinda chill until Smiley knew Zo was out of earshot and eyesight of the hood.

The thing that made Alonzo such a good villain is he had his own twisted code of Justice. If he wasn't so arrogant and hot-headed dude woulda prolly been the most effective NARC there was. Dude damn near pulled off a scheme of megalomaniac proportions just to save his own ass and STILL keep his thumb on the Mexicans, the Damus and most of south central LA.

It says alot when ONE cop can go to the chief, the DA and the captain and get the OK in person to do some foul shyt like how he did Rodger, just to save himself and keep the hood in check. Alonzo was too talented to be a pawn, but way to full of himself to ever be a king.

Quoted for the bolded, got damn that was the truth right there about this whole movie

I could be wrong but my take is that Alonzo wasn't planning to use Jake as a scapegoat for killing Rodger. He already had permission to get Rodger from the 'higher-ups' that were eating at the steakhouse as long as they got their fee/cut which they did cause Zo paid them with the money he stole from Macy Grey's character. Rodger was a big time drug dude, Alonzo really didn't need a fall guy, especially a fellow detective in which Hoyt was, to put the blame on. It would've been simply a drug bust that ended in a shootout. Bad guy dead- another drug dealer is off the street, all the cops involved are heroes. But things switched and went sour when Alonzo found out that Hoyt didn't want the his share of the cut and that he truly was a good cop out to get bad guys off the street. They probably hadn't seen that type of individual in a while:ohhh: Hoyt freaked out at what they did and Alonzo and his crew had to calm him down.. Zo's crew wanted to merk Hoyt on the spot but Zo said hold up let me talk to dude.. that's where he put in motion that he shot Rodger and if he snitched to internal affairs then the blood would be on his hands.

That's the reason Alonzo kept askin' Hoyt was he a "wolf" and not a sheep throughout the entire movie. But he found out he wasn't a wolf after all and saw that he was still shook up about what they did and got the esses to take him out. I thought that whole pcp and beer drinking was just the initiation process to see if he was bout it. Remember Zo and his boys had special tattoos. He told Hoyt if he played the game he could get his ink too. They were a gang for real. They thought they had a new recruit but Hoyt was on that 'good cop' sh*t for reals

Here is another thing I caught last night when I watched the movie. After they killed Roger you see Alonzo walking back to the car and get on his phone while Hoyt was standing by the car having that :dahell: look on his face. If you listen closely to Alonzo's conversation on the phone he says something to the effect of "You want that payment right?" and then when u see him in the car before he bangs on the roof telling Hoyt to get in he says, "Just make sure that bathtub is clean" while giving Hoyt that :youngsabo:

Fast forward to Smiley's house you see that Smiley gets money from the blender and Alonzo leaves Hoyt with the mexicans. When they dragged him to the bathroom they put him in a BATHTUB!

When I saw that I went :damn:

And this was after Hoyt and Alonzo had that "heart to heart" convo in the car and Zo STILL sent him to get murked.

That's one EEEVIL vato :demonic:

But I like that...:myman:

If you really watch that movie again..it has so much depth to it it's not even funny :ohlawd:

I like Jake talking his way out of getting his head blown of. He was scrambling. Them esses should have blew him away anyway though.
