Finally watched the vid....ya, 90% of that wasn't harassment. In fact, I'd say only the creep walking next to her was harassment (which, if she wasn't being filmed, she would've changed up her walking pace, or dipped into a store to dodge him)


Obviously, getting hit on all day every day would get annoying. I get that, I respect that. But I'm not crying you any rivers and I'm certainly not supporting any more legislation that would allow police and the system to strengthen the grip around our necks.


People using these lame analogies of gay men looking at us are off based. A better analogy is when you're walking through a mart or an area with a large number of street vendors (like 125th Street used to be back in the day) and every single table you walk by the vendors are constantly 'hollering' at you (some just say hello, knowing if you respond they'll take that as an invitation to proposition you on whatever they're selling, others just throw their product in your face, others try to block your path and prevent you from leaving their table). It's annoying. But C'est la vie

Well that goes to my comment about there being blurred lines as to what women will accept from men.

I'm not out here trying to tell women how to feel.
My argument is that there's levels to this shyt. We all find certain things to be annoying. But they all do not require legislation and policing...which is what the video (I feel) is sort of alluding to.
Since street harassment reform has been in the news recently.

Anyway, she walks like a fukking man, it was upsetting me. But thats harassment? Some of that shyt should not have been included at all. A man saying hi, then GOD bless and you include that shyt? Yeah some of that shyt was out of line, but some you just wanna cry for the sake of crying. This is why women are made fun of, like people say, you get no attention at all and you're depressed and think you're ugly. Why is it not ok for a guy on the street to say hi to you? But at that exact point, why when we say hi back the fukking floodgates open. I just smile and keep it moving.

I just find it interesting that you consider most of what she recorded harassment, but chose to focus on the exceptions that weren't to downplay the issue she was trying to raise.

I'm really at a loss as to what pleasure dudes get from "complimenting" random women on the street. shyt is drive by simping. These chicks are generally not fukking dudes who approach them that way. It's very dusty energy. There are much easier ways to "bag" women. And odds are if u are a nikka on his shyt u wont have time to stand around like that in the first place. So what do nikkas really gain from this?

Actually I don't think much of it was harassment. But my definition might be different from others. A third was not harassment at all. Maybe half was just annoying and unnecessary so the other 20% was harassment

So I think she downplayed the own issue she was trying to raise which is why I spoke on it
