The word "slave" comes from the word "slav" which is derived from the Slavic people in modern day Central and Eastern Europe, specifically what we now call Poland, Russia, Yugoslavia and other lands in that region. Why would a european painter in 1600 decide to paint the portrait of the most well known islamic figure in europe at the time as a BLACK MAN?

I've already told you that the guy who painted Saladin never saw him and lived some 500 years after Saladin's death. What possible reason would this european artists have to chose a BLACK MAN to represent this symbol of MUSLIM AGRESSION?

the only reason he would do that is because the PERCEPTION of what an ARAB was at that period in europe was that of a BLACK MAN. the same was true in early islam across arabia and persia. Arabs were BLACK and non-Arab was WHITE.

I don't care about who calls themselves an arab today. I'm actually one of those people who thinks its dumb for the Sudanese (eventhough they have more valid claims to being called arabs than almost anyone else) to call themselves Arab today. the term like jew has become basterized over the milenia and has been used as a tool to oppress black people.

All black people are not black-skinned. We've had a variety of ethnic groups ranging from very light to black-skinned. Light brown is still part of the African phenotype. Black people can give birth to albino children. Albino children can form groups and migrate. Migration over a long period of time leads to adaptation. Adaptation leads to physical changes due to the new environment. The new environment was harsh and had less resources than the old environment. People have something called RACIAL MEMORY...it's kin to animal instinct. Those "adapted people" went back home to find resources and were not welcome. They also bred with the native neanderthals in the area. This is why whites have 1-4% neanderthal DNA. Neanderthals did not live in Africa. You do not need FUR to survive in Africa. You do not need FUR to survive in NORTH AFRICA. Fur is a neanderthal trait. Arabs are extremely hairy people. There is zero physiological benefit to having thick stringy fur and light brown skin in a desert climate where melanin is the answer to the natural environmental factors.

You have no proof that Europeans as a whole descend from an albino population. Albinos of all races lack melanin, European whites don't. Big difference.

Pure Arabs are what you call qhatani Arabs, they are darker than most Arabs but nobody would classify them as Africans.
