That Seth Mitchell/Banks 2 was a scripted farce. Carried that man and let him win after tattooing him easily the first time. It's been a minute but didn't he get KO'd in like 2 rounds the first time?

And then he fought Arreola and that was the end of his chapter :picard:
yeah seth mitchell was decent but was chinny as shyt...banks was an undersized for HW counter puncher and wiped him out quick...HBO had been behind Seth and that loss threw him off there..that rematch was so bad...banks wobbled him too many times and he would take his foot off the gas immediately..shyt stunk like dirty diapers...went 12 rounds :hhh:..after that seth was fed to arreola and that was the end of him

Joshua won't fight Ngannou :heh:
Why not?Best risk-reward fight for him by far right now.

We’ll see if they’ll be right or not but imo in the coming months this Fury vs Ngannou fight will be viewed by top HWs as a glitch resulting from a poor form Fury and a better than believed Ngannou but they still gonna view him as a relatively low risk very high reward fight that can be solved by a little preparation.

Ngannou is no question going to have a rematch with Fury in his future..esp if the WBC is going to give him a ranking so if Fury beats Usyk they will sanction this for undisputed HW championship of the world (which would be one of the wildest things i have ever seen in boxing)..i know he has to do the PFL but it would also help for him to get a win in the boxing ring before a rematch with Fury

I think NGannou is only gonna get a lot better as time goes by.

If you watch his post fight interview he talks about how he needs to improve his footwork and things he needs to work on.

It really fukking sucks how trash the HW division is. None of the the big names have fought one another shyt is so disappointing.

Francis can shake all this shyt up too and bring in money due to the spectacle.

IMO Francis should get the PFL fight out the way to start early next year, and then over the span of 2 years fight some bums to work on his skills and then gun for a Vacant. Being a world champ in 2 sports would be crazy

It’s a pity he didn’t start boxing earlier, he says the right things but also dude is 37, not sure how much he has left even for a HW.

Haven’t watched his UFC fights except the one against Miocic years ago which was the worst fight that I’ve ever seen with them only laying on the ground and offensively nothing happening so I didn’t really see his stand up skills. But against Fury - out-of-shape and unprepared or not - he was very impressive, looked like he could have chosen a career in boxing instead of MMA.

If nothing else he’ll be a good example of why switch to boxing earlier if you got the ability.

Facts, and time is on his side. He's 37. Heavyweights age much slower than the lighter weight classes. He can literally fight at the top of his game until about 42/43

Does the UFC ever have suspect scores? What's an example of a high profile UFC robbery?
It seems like a lot of people understand this was an exceptional situation where a guy known for having crazy power as a UFC striker fought a boxer who you never know how well prepared or serious he is coming into a fight.

But I'm seeing a ton of people, presumably UFC fans and casuals, talking about how corrupt scoring is in boxing. I didn't even watch this fight yet but I understand the argument that regardless it pretty much was no chance for Ngannou to win on the cards. You can easily isolate this bout to an indictment of Fury, and him only as a boxer. But does this bout hurt boxing from an integrity standpoint, given the fact the bout was sanctioned at all and the outcome seems predetermined

Of course there is robberys in mma all the time. Both sports use a lot of the same judges

For example Adalaide Byrd is terrible at judging both sports

Most people don’t know how to score fights, this was not a robbery at all, Francis was too inactive in some rounds and let furry control the quiet rounds with his jab. I didn’t score the fight while watching, but I knew it was close.
