The Kardashians wear braids and they are praised and looked at as hipster, but they just had the big controversy of making fun of Zendaya wearing dreadlocks saying she looks like she "smells like weed and patchouli oil"

I see way too many hair ads targeted towards black women with half black women in them. Christina Milian and Jill Scott don't have the same hair texture. Some black women have looser textured hair but one texture shouldn't be the only one shown.

What culture, are you from Dakar? If you are I stand corrected. Neither are most of the people complaining. And people all over the world wear braids, especially people with tightly coiled hair. My point is that all people who are classified as non-white were/are every where and though the style of the hair may vary by region or have different names its still the same art and indicative of the culture. Its Teen Vogue, not Essence. Swedes arent protesting Latinas/Blacks/Brunette White women who wear blonde hair. People from Fiji are indigenous people and still carry some of the culture.
