So this chick @Tae is doing all this harping but her ass don't even have the more kinkier texture hair? I could see why her post reaped of so much smugness. People from the outside looking in always have the most to say.
Well gone head and wake ya ass up the way you fell asleep then. I'll continue to do wtf i want with my hair.
Our realities aren't even the same and she's trying to berate me for telling how it is for me. I doubt anyone has ever called her hair "nappy shyt" or told her it wasn't presentable just because of its texture....
Homegurl you have no clue what my hair texture is, so you might want to fall back. I do not have the so called "wash-n-go" 3B 3C hair.
I took issue with you saying that black hair is not inherently presentable. What exactly is wrong with black hair (that is not bouncing with curls) in its original state that it needs to be tamed? That reeks of white supremacist talk.
I'll admit that I skimmed through your first response and did not see where you admitted that you should have worded your first comment better, if I had I probably wouldn't have left that smug comment I made.
It is wavy in the front and 4Aish throughout most of my hair, with maybe some 3C in the very back. To be honest I don't even think my hair has a type.@Tae how would you describe your hair texture, if you don't mind?
But not all black hair is the same. Women with curly hair (like me and you) can get away with the messy Joan Clayton look. It's considered hippie, natural, bohemian. Our hair textures have since cornered the natural hair market. We don't receive the same back lash as our kinkier 4 hair grade sisters.
I cannot get away with the Joan Clayton look, my hair texture isn't even remotely close to hers. I cannot achieve a curly look unless it is saturated with products. When I roll out my bed my hair is frizzy not bouncing with curls. Part of me is trying to veer away with saturating my hair with products because why should I try to achieve a curly look and not let my hair be in its original state.
