are there even any major free agents this year?

It's really top heavy. Its KD, Kawhi, and Kyrie then a bunch of 2nd & 3rd tier guys. I'm not sure if we would've had a real shot at signing any of them even if we did have the cap space. Next year really should be about purging the bad contracts and playing the young guys.

I expect Dion and JJ to be better next year since they were coming off major injuries, Goran too. And if the Dragon was healthy all year we make the playoffs easily. Don't think he or Hassan opt out either. That's nearly 50 M's against the cap alone

Only way we don't get the 15th pick in 2020 too is if they somehow do opt out. Spo been trying to get Hassan to opt out for 2 years already, maybe it actually pays off. Either that or Silver makes the ping pong balls go our way for losing Wade and we sneak into the top 4 in the draft lottery this year.

What kinda of message does Spo trying to chase Hassan out of town send to free agents though? He’s done everything short of accuse him of faking injuries to this point. What free agent will want to potentially deal with that when plenty of other teams would be able to offer just as much?

If it was up to me Hassan would still be starting. Our defense is completely different when he's out there and he's one of the few positions where we can say we have an advantage over other teams. :HWUMAD:

If it was up to me Hassan would still be starting. Our defense is completely different when he's out there and he's one of the few positions where we can say we have an advantage over other teams. :HWUMAD:

Eh, Bam’s passing and vision compliments are other players offensive game. Whiteside is also great at rim protection and deterring shots but struggles against fast-paced teams that push the pace.

Honestly, I like Whiteside off the bench and finishing games. He’s absolutely a starting caliber center and really good though.

Wash, rinse, and repeat. Sounds like theyre going to play the Spo/Whiteside game again and depend on a 30+ year old PG to not be injury prone
