Winslow is our PG now or should be going forward

JRich is our SG or SF depending if we can move Dion going forward

DJJ should be our SF going forward but depends if Dion is here then JRich is

Bam is our future C

Do we draft best available player

Do we draft a PF to make the cypher complete

If we draft best available do we end up with another Whiteside, Bam situation

We have young guys who should be starting and be the focal point going forward and have the offense tailored around there strengths going forward

Let young guys try and fail no more Wade to have to carry us and bail us out it’s time for Winslow and JRich to take the next leap but they both have to stop getting hurt

Lol I’m not being serious. Pat has made some stupid ass moves but I don’t think he’s actually going senile or too old for this. I hope he stops panicking and throwing out 4 year contracts to guys based off 20-30 good games though and then calling them good, tradable assets.

But being the most expensive team to miss the playoffs when the vast majority of teams missing the playoffs were actively tanking for picks is not a good look as a GM. If I put up our payroll and compared it to the other teams that missed the playoffs, you’d probably cringe.
An Interesting comment he made is that Dion and JJ had the option of a 2 year deal or a 4 year deal pending Haywards decision (caveat being that it would have been a 2 year deal for both had Hayward signed here). Not that it matters now but it's something I hadn't previusly heard.

Well lets see how the Hmmm bros progress first and see what type off on court chemistry they build. Then we see if white and drag opt out and what money we have left.

I agree with you on who starts where unless dion accepts the challenge and hits that next tier then move jrich to SF and have djj off the bench behind him with KO at the starting PF spot still. The center starter spot will go to whoever can hit an open midrange to long 2 shot. Whiteside’s post moves are trash so he needs to hit that shot and bam needs to also attack

Draft BPA. I'm going to do some scouting the next couple of weeks and get my top 5 for our draft range.

aight...

some1 crunch the numbers

Dragic could drop off the books right now and we still couldn’t give out a max contract.

Y’all ready for this 13th pick? :mjlit:

No :stopitslime:

Riley says this draft is way deeper than most realize but I ain’t seeing it.

13 has been a lucky pick before though so maybe this is our Giannis sleeper. Kobe, Mitchell, booker, etc.

But we probably gonna go with someone like Nassir but I think we go best player available especially if it’s a guy like Kevin Porte Jrr or, God’s be with us, Darius Garland.

If no clear cut best, go with the boom or bust. I’m going for Bol Bol and praying that the Heat medical staff is fired and we hire a competent one.

Dion still wasn’t in heat shape when he was playing so hopefully dude hits the gym hard and get himself in better shape and with the ankle surgery behind him he should be able to really go hard this summer

We actually saw Whiteside shoot midrange shots late in the year again finally because he can hit that shot and we saw Bam actually shoot a few 3s in garage time but still he needs to shoot midrange and 3s more going forward

Wouldn’t be surprised Luka and Porzingis recruit Dragic to come on down to Dallas

Saw this doubt it would happen but two lottery pick would be nice Lakers are win now mode so unless it’s a top 3 to 5 pick with Lebron around I see them moving the pick

According to L.A. Sports Hub, Whiteside would make more sense than a theoretical No. 10 draft pick who might not contribute much for the Lakers, as he is a good shot blocker and a “dominant presence” in the paint who could shore up the team’s weaknesses at center and improve their defense. The outlet also suggested that Whiteside could benefit from playing alongside LeBron James and post some strong scoring numbers.

James excels at making big men better and Whiteside would be no exception,” wrote L.A. Sports Hub’s Jason Reed. “For the Heat, they would be trading just one guaranteed year of Whiteside for a 10th overall pick, which is a win. For the Lakers, they would be getting a center that they could extend long-term as well
