AJ was also working Ring of Honor half the time.

The only person that dislikes Omega is @stro but he dislikes everything anyway.

I don't dislike Kenny, at least not big match Kenny, but he ain't top level superstar guy and has to have someone who will beat him into having structure in his match or he'll just go spot spot spot spot spot knee knee knee knee knee knee knee knee knee knee kneee spot spot spot huge bump knee knee knee knee for 30-45 minutes

I think all the complaints stem from Naito not really getting a run with the title

I think I've been the lead complainer when it comes to Naito's booking around here and even I am :wtf: about this whole thing. And if Naito won it in June, he would still have like 2 title defenses and not much else :dead:

Kenny always says in interviews he came up with 100 percent of the spots and psychology in the Okada matches, but also says they would not have been how great they were with anyone but Okada.

He also says he gauges alot from the crowd with no planning in less important matches, and can "feel" what kind of match he needs to wrestle to make the crowd happy.

So it's clear he has a paint by numbers format and for what he perceives as really big matches he will put alot of planning into it if his opponent is capable or willing of it also.

As a person that sparingly watches NJPW, take my opinion with a grain of salt, but looking at this card it looks like many of the same exact people I've seen before on NJPW shows, just shuffled around. I want to watch WK simply because its their big show, but I'm looking at this card like :ld:.

This is my issue with Omega too. I've said it before here a lot but he spams the V-trigger as much or worse than Roman spams the Superman Punch, and it never feels like more than complacent filler between spots. And if we're being really real then Omega owes almost everything to AJ Styles leaving for WWE and opening up the 'top gaijin' spot that nobody else fit into at the time.

Welcome to Gedo's booking. And this is the most effort (in terms of new match ups and angles) he's put on a card in YEARS.

Ibushi/Osprey and Omega/Tanahashi are potential MOTY level shyt, every match Ishii and Zack have has been great, the Jrs match will be real good, Naito/Jericho will be at least entertaining. The big question mark is Okada/Jay White. It could be great but too many of Jay's matches have fell flat. He improved significantly in the second half of the year, but he really has to bring it.

I dunno...i think sometimes it's just okay to actually enjoy stuff. I know the default mode for wrestling fans is to complain and criticise everything but this card looks great to me.

Omega and Tanahashi will bring 8 stars to the card with no problems :coffee:
