No numbers have been released but two New Japan sources (as well as their Twitter) have said that ticket sales for the Tokyo Dome are still ahead of the pace of last year’s show.

While totals aren’t official, 2018 revenues are expected to fall at about $43.6 million, up from $35 million last year, a 25 percent increase. A big key was the increase in live event ticket sales, but merchandise in 2018 was four times that of 2013, stemming from the LIJ sales and the U.S. market Hot Topic T-shirt sales. Almost 40 percent of ticket buyers to Japanese live shows are female. Going into the Dome show they are ahead of 100,000 in New Japan World sales, as compared to 60,000 at the same point last year in mid-December.

but....but...Kenny is killing their business. They need to strap the rocket to Goto :mjcry:

NJ's profits going up every year despite quality and interest seeming down to the more loyal followers is about as :skip:WWE's profits and TV deal money going up every year despite the same thing.

I don't think that's true. There's a portion of western fans that have followed New Japan for years that are lukewarm about the product. But it's undeniable that interest in the promotion is really high by it's main japanese audience. Last 3 years the loyalty that's been shown by the fanbase has been incredible all things considered. They sold out Sumo Hall without a card at KOPW :dead:
