Their CONSTANT talking during their match and the main event was so fukking distracting. Why the fukk were they out for the main event at all?

They were there to make sure Omega didn't die when he did that crazy dive OVER the metal fence onto Okada. They were in position to try and mitigate damage if Omega mistimed it.

Just watched the okada v omega match again in both languages and seriously you can't name a single WWE match in the last 5 years that is better. If you can your not being honest with your self, WWE stan or not

I figured this would be your assessment because the match was more like a better version of Omega/Naito than it was Omega/Goto and I know how you felt about Omega/Naito.

Honestly, I have a tough time picking which match is the best between:

Okada/Tana
Okada/Marafuji
Omega/Goto
Omega/Okada

All 4 of those matches in a 12 month span seems like the pinnacle of wrestling to me. I know AJPW put on a million classics, but this is at that level to me.

I could never pick a best match of all time. All I can say is what is in contention and these all are.

I watched Okada/Marufuji a few days ago and was stunned at how great it was. fukking MARUFUJI, of all people, in 2016 being in something that good blew my fukking mind. Dude cut out all his dumb shyt and finally decided he'd actually land his strikes instead of whiffing by a foot and slapping his legs anyway.

Regarding Okada/Omega... I find it interesting that Okada gets away with theses intrincated and endless reversals spots and gets huge praise for them but stuff like Ospray vs any flippy dude is labeled as "choreographed". To me the Okada reversals special feel pretty similar, I see it as a lot of cooperative effort :patrice:

This depresses me a bit. Not because you like it that much (that's cool), but the fact that I'm so far from feeling that way is :mjcry: to me. I want to love puro at that level again but can't do it with current New Japan.Been feeling that way since 2015 and I can't seem to shake it off.

I though Omega/Okada was like Rogue One without the emotional attachment. First act was just "there", then it starts to pick up and then the end is dope as fukk. I saw nothing "tr ascendant" about that match at all. It was borderline great to me.

I am getting pretty tired of Okada, tbh. I feel like his finishing sequences always go on like 3 minutes too long, and he seems to have been kind of lethargic and bored over the last year, at times feeling like he was just going through the motions. I feel like he's been around the ROH crew too much, and Gedo has sucked him dry.

NJPW from 2014 on made me love wrestling again:yeshrug:

I was watching nothing the decade before that. Caught some NJPW and ignited me. Watched a bunch of stuff I missed plus all the new stuff. I watch WWE again even, and I dont even like it. But AJ keeps me coming back, all from his NJPW run (his TNA flippy shyt is blah to me)

Just sounds like you are burnt out @Jmare007 but its still fresh for me.:yeshrug:

No doubt. That's what depressing, never thought I'd feel that way about puro :to:

I still enjoy the fukk out of Strong Big Japan division and some DDT stuff but even with those I take 3-6 months breaks before binge watching the most interesting stuff.
