If we gonna keep it a buck, I think even Jericho could drop some bodies in his day

Dana is gonna be in for a rude awakening when he realizes that the PPV buys won't add up to what he expected when originally signing Punk.

NO ONE was talking about this fight like that.

What got me dying over here is Punk's video game movement & how he walks up to Gail like a Playstation Tekken fighter. Press right on the controller and they'll walk just like that.:laff::laff:

that's what fukked him over IMO, shyt wasn't tactful at all and you don't go in like that against an experienced fighter in your first fight

No, he won't. Nobody in the wrestling world will give a shyt that he lost a UFC fight. Everyone in the WWE locker room would lose in the same way that he did tonight. It's basically the equivalent of Brock Lesnar leaving the WWE to play football, and getting cut almost immediately after signing with the Vikings. CM Punk is a top tier talent on the microphone and wrestling ring. People will immediately forget about this once he's back, except for those who have a hard-on for hating this dude :manny:

I'd take most of the locker room over Punk in a shoot, today. That matters more than if they would stand a chance vs Mickey Gall. Brock got cut from the Vikings but he got cut by an NFL team. Punk didn't lose to a UFC fighter, he lost to a guy UFC hired specifically to face him because the whole roster may have killed him in the cage.

Eh. Nobody in their right mind expected him to win, the fact that he actually took a risk, got in there, trained for it, and fought is still very commendable. It's not like his goal was to be the best MMA fighter on the planet. He walked away from the only thing he knew and actually accomplished what he set out to do, which takes a great level of ambition, dedication, and courage. Unfortunately that's not something I expect most people and a lot of these internet mental midgets to understand and perceive

Or one can take it as a harsh reality of what foolish pride could give you. Fighting mixed martial arts isn't a joke. It isn't something you can just pick up and drop like a piece of shyt. I've been training part time since 2009 and I could never go fight UFC. Punk could have fought amateur fights against someone his skill level get better & develop, fight on small shows in a master division given his age, engage in local grappling or Bjj tournaments, but he decided to skip steps and make none of the sacrifices everyone else had to make to be a glory hog. This is the other side. One day, Phil will wake up and realize he should have just jobbed to HHH.

Nah you don't get it. The fact that he had the balls and the commitment to do what you describe as "something you can't just pick up and drop like a piece of shyt" at his age, with his shortcomings and his circumstances is the real prize. People wake up everyday afraid to do and possibly fail at some shyt they would otherwise love to try. Punk can't say that about himself, not after tonight (especially when the thing he is doing was on a national stage and he risked immense public ridicule if he failed, and is something 80% of people without a mental illness wouldn't dare to try)

And Punk said himself his goal was to start at the lowest level but the opportunity to fight in the UFC was given to him so he took it. If you look at it as a slap in the face that you're training so hard while Punk is being handed things, that's still a loser's mentality. Winners don't focus on other winners. Don't lose yourself to a crab-ass mentality
