Eh. Nobody in their right mind expected him to win, the fact that he actually took a risk, got in there, trained for it, and fought is still very commendable. It's not like his goal was to be the best MMA fighter on the planet. He walked away from the only thing he knew and actually accomplished what he set out to do, which takes a great level of ambition, dedication, and courage. Unfortunately that's not something I expect most people and a lot of these internet mental midgets to understand and perceive

I'm pretty sure that his goal was to last longer than 2 minutes after training for 2 years.

Nah you don't get it. The fact that he had the balls and the commitment to do what you describe as "something you can't just pick up and drop like a piece of shyt" at his age, with his shortcomings and his circumstances is the real prize. People wake up everyday afraid to do and possibly fail at some shyt they would otherwise love to try. Punk can't say that about himself, not after tonight (especially when the thing he is doing was on a national stage and he risked immense public ridicule if he failed, and is something 80% of people without a mental illness wouldn't dare to try)

And Punk said himself his goal was to start at the lowest level but the opportunity to fight in the UFC was given to him so he took it. If you look at it as a slap in the face that you're training so hard while Punk is being handed things, that's still a loser's mentality. Winners don't focus on other winners. Don't lose yourself to a crab-ass mentality

Punk hasn't won anything though. That's why people were complaining.

I said this a long time ago. Interest kept dropping month after month, especially with Brock coming back. The only thing Punk had going for him was how many people were still willing to pay to see him get merked.
