Maybe that's why he's so dumb that he doesn't realize the lapse in logic in having so many matches built around leg work where he goes from barely being able to walk for 15 minutes to jumping over a dude for the dropkick

I've never heard of him.... even before when I was less of a casual watcher of NJPW and knew briefly of guys like Shinsuke or etc..... I dont recall this guy and I dont recall yall talking too much about him.

Honma is awesome. Not a physically gifted marvel, but understands drama and storytelling. Dude had multiple legit 5 star matches

Watch Honma vs Shibata from the 2014 G1. One of the best sub-15 minute matches you can find

Watch Honma vs Ishii from February 14, 2015 (New Beginning). He had a couple 5 stars with Ishii

@Bryan Danielson I forgot to say, after the first Ishii vs Honma you also have to watch their match later that year at Power struggle 2015. Just as good or maybe better,but you gotta watch the New Beginning one first for storytelling reasons.

Not sure about Honma vs Suzuki, my memory of Honma's best work was all against Ishii or Shibata. Their hard hitting styles worked well with his "underdog" persona and toughness

Like I'm feeling the stables. Still trynna get a gauge on who has heat with or rivals each other between Chaos, Suzuki Gun, LOS InG, and BC (not sure if there are more than those 4) but can yall put me on to some big matches with rivals squads?

Just trynna catch up on some of the tension cats have with each other, like I find it funny that Rocky buries Bushi everytime he sees him but unfamiliar with why

Its like.... if Juice Robinson..... on paper.... I wouldnt be a fan of this dude and I can see why in WWE/NXT I wouldnt like him....

But MAN...... he been putting in work on this G1 and I somehow found myself became a fan. I like his energy and vibe he's brought everytime he performs..... and his theme has grown on me

Ibushi/Omega was not at all what I expected, but for the better. I don't think anyone was expecting an abnormally brutal and stiff match that made the whole audience uncomfortable instead of a wacky "how crazy can we get" spotfest. There were some truly moments
