What a month it has been

I feel like this:

It's been overwhelming. I think this year was a little better than last year in terms of standout matches. Last year might've been a little more consistent, as all the great matches outside of Okada v Tana came from B Block.

But it's crazy...I'm thinking of my top 10...and I've got Ishii v Ibushi, Omega v Ishii, Tana v Ibushi, Omega v Naito, Ishii v Goto, Okada v Tana, Ibushi v ZSJ, Omega v Ibushi, Omega v Sanada, Naito v Ishii...and even beyond a top 10 you got shyt like Naito v Juice, Omega v Goto, ZSJ v Ishii...like so much good shyt got lost inthe mix. It's almost too much of a good thing.

I feel I need to take a break from wrestling for a couple a weeks.

In terms of the final...I wanted Ibushi to win, but I think Omega and Tana at the Dome is a legit main event and a fresh match. We're still gonna get a god level Omega/Ibushi
match by the end of the year. I think Omega and Tana will tell a great story.

Will Omega really hold the belt until WK though?

I'm catching up, and I'm in the middle of the A block final.

We need to have a real discussion about how Don Callis needs to stay the fukk in Canada and never come back to do color for NJPW. Rocky was better than him on this tour, and it's not even close.

Also, it'd be cool if they kept Chris Charlton on. He's better at translating than the other guy they use, and actually drops some good points on commentary from time to time.

This duo did a really good job of selling the show, getting the talent over, telling backstories, and staying highly entertaining every single match, every single show.

JR a legend and all that but I prefer not to hear him call these shows anymore

Ishii ain't beating him for the title, and I think he'll get his win back on Ibushi later in the year. I don't see him having many more defences than that.

How ya'll feel about this Japanese translator cat they have on commentary recently? I like the history and knowledge he has been dropping but dude's voice is

I feel like Kevin and Rocky are looking at him after he goes on a 4 minute soliloquy about the history of The Budokan like "Just translate my promos, fakkit "

The other translator dude kept it lowkey and sounded like he just got out of bed on some stoner shyt.

Omega vs Tanahashi is a pretty fresh match-up but for some reason I can't see Gedo betting his money on that match. Then again he's bet on far worse match-ups before so...

Skipped right to the main event so I need to watch the rest but Tana/Ibushi was great

at Tana going ham with the HFF at the end. Had the crowd at the 3rd one. I thought Ibushi would take it but Tana getting the W wasn't bad. It'll be interesting to see if he keeps the title opportunity all the way to WK.

I also thought KK/Rocky did a great job on commentary throughout the tourney

I really wasn’t a fan of it and really wasn’t engaged in the show..... it was like background noise that I just stopped paying attention to.

Who is Callis normally teamed up with though or who does he have good chemistry with?

Callis teams with Kevin Kelly, or they do a 3 man team with Kelly and Rocky.

I like Callis a lot. Has that old Jesse Ventura swag, but Rocky stepped it up during the G1, so I wouldn't be that annoyed if Callis left.
