It’s not the first time it’s happened or the last. There have been badly gimmicked things in many matches across many companies. Before that happened the match delivered everything it was supposed to.
True. And the jokes get let off on them too. When Heyman killed the KO vs Reigns feud when he couldn't open the cuffs or the dud bomb in the barbwire match. No need to put up the shield for anybody. This won't be the last good match ruined by the ending. For AEW sake I hope it's the last in awhile.

:patrice:Like a Wargames match...

If we looked back to the WCW wargames matches, none of them shyts were top notch quality. Lets keep it real, the matches were grimy, sloppy, and wasn't for the faint of heart. That's the reasons why Wargames were legit because it was about settling a year long feud in a battleground. Overall Blood and guts provided the following:

  • Blood
  • Violence
  • Flippy shyt for the bowys
  • Hardcore shyt for the bowys
  • Wrasslin shyt for the bowys
  • A top cage spot to end the match
I am sports entertained despite the constant hic ups:hubie:
honestly i cant say i ever messed with any war games matches in general. shyt is always a cluster fukk and a bit confusing esp for the camera person. something about this match just felt like someone was gonna die any second but via mistake. it def got better as it progressed but i thought Sammy Guevara was gona die the entire match.

i know thats the whole point of the match but i still think it can be executed a little better with some of the workers you had in there. i still gotta run it back and see how i feel on 2nd viewing.

Suicide Shotzi got them furious in the comments :mjlol:

She did the same thing clowning the Revolution PPV finish. I just don't think it's a good idea to potentially burn a bridge with the 2nd biggest company in the USA when you're not that established.

We just saw way more popular women get fired recently. You never know when you can be next. That NXT money won't last long.

The smart wrestlers use AEW as leverage for their next contract, not clown them for social media likes.

When did they start singing Judas during Jericho’s entrance?

That may be true but that doesn’t mean that that particular spot is above criticism or being clowned. It looked bad and it’s being treated as such. It is what it is :manny: hopefully they learn from it

The error AEW made was with the camera angle of Jericho's fall. If they shot it at a different angle, I think they would have been fine. Glad they at least learned from the Guevara/Matt Hardy bump to at least provide better protection, but it could have been concealed a lot better.

With the company just turning two this month, there are going to be growing pains. I think they need to lay off the heavily gimmicked matches taking place live like Blood & Guts and the Exploding Barbed Wire match for a long while given this is the 2nd time in 3 months that the ending of the match is remembered for the wrong reasons. Save the heavily gimmicked matches for taped episodes of Dynamite so they can practice the camera angles and edit it properly.

The Swamp
Marks is salty as fukk in the comments. :lolbron:

They also copping pleas that Jericho is 50. :camby:

Funker was doing deathmatches at that age.

Flair was bumping from the ladders at 62.

Truth is Jericho

A 50 year old man should never suggest / agree to / attempt a stunt if it's going to come off looking stupid. A 50 year old man also has no business being showcased regularly on television as a wrestler. He needs to take his old ass home and spend some time with his children :beli:

He needs to take his old ass home and spend some time with his children :beli:

Tony Khan: Chris, the stunt was to write you off for a little while. Get some rest and spend time with the family.

Jericho: I can still do commentary, right? Maybe manage Hagar or continue teaming with Sammy?

Tony Khan: Jericho, go home.

Jericho: How about trying my hand at video editing? Do the lighting assistants need help?

Tony Khan: Chris, your kids need help with their homework and your wife needs help coping with the fact Trump got his ass handed to him by Joe Biden.

*Light in Jericho's Head goes off*

Jericho: Thanks Tony, you're a genius!

*texts Donald Trump Jr. and volunteers to stump for Donald Trump in Guam for 6 months*
