my point is, don't have Darby fall down concrete stairs in a backstage segment for a feud no one will remember by fall, and then be afraid to risk any injury in doing a spot that has to hit.
It makes the spot look worse in juxtaposition because they're willing to have risk in places they logically shouldn't and are unwilling to book the match around a good ending you can execute well, or just be willing to let the Inner Circle rush up to catch him, have him lay them all out and keep them gone for a few weeks and then you don't need to do that shytty spot and can achieve the same thing.
Hell, it'd mean even more because it would
show the Inner Circle being willing to do whatever to protect him, instead of just
telling us by having Sammy give up the match.
These are foundational storytelling principles.
