As I said previously in this thread, his wingspan is below average for a 3, which puts him at a significant disadvantage considering he'll be up against bigs regularly, and he doesn't have a particularly extensive scoring skillset to mitigate it. Players that lack an adequete wingspan, naturally, are going to find it harder to get their shot off (in all circumstances/scenarios and areas of the floor), and defend shots (and effectiveness on that end, in general).whats wrong with his wing span?
Of course, it is, because your height isn't the only size factor that goes into your how effective you'll be. You can be 6'7 but have T-Rex arms, and that would put a cap on your physical limitations. It's made even worse for Zion considering he has minimal lift on his jumpshot, and his mechanics give even more time for a defender to affect it.height isnt a thing to worry about once you hit 6'7. you can see well enough vs shorter guys guys your height and 7 footers. its not that big of a deal. now if you're 6'4. thats different.
This is why I said his success is going to be dependent on his actual jumpshot, because his dimensions are going to limit what he can do. This obviously applies to any player that has physical limitations where they have to find other ways to be effective - which basically comes down to how skilful they are.
Well, that's where you're wrong, because he does HAVE to have it. He won't reach his ceiling if he doesn't. As I said, his physical limitations won't allow him to be a dominant post-player, so he's going to need to have a jumpshot.he can live on the glass just like college. he just has to get even stronger and learn how to use his hips and his weight better. short fat strong barkely did this his entire career. lets not forget. so lets not say its impossible because we love to have everyone chucking 3's and jumpers. yes he needs that too. but he doesnt HAVE to have it.
