There's no maybe about it, yes, it was the during the Pelicans scrimmage and you know it - you've brought up his shot during the scrimmage before. He's yet to make a shot outside 5-ft in an actual game-setting.He only took one shot outside the paint bruh. I watched him make them no problem and he made his only 3 attempt the first game wit yo lying ass (maybe it was the scrimmage).
These are his shot charts against NBA competition thus far:
And against the Knicks in SL, his shot makes/attempts were as follows:
Missed 3-pointer
Missed 20-ft jumpshot (blocked by Knox)
Missed shot near rim (blocked by Robinson)
Dunk (uncontested)
Dunk (uncontested)
Missed shot near rim (blocked by Robinson)
Dunk (uncontested)
Dunk (uncontested)
The only made shots he had were dunks; all other shots he missed (three of which were blocked).
You don't know this because you haven't seen it - nobody has - simply because he doesn't have the ability to do so (yet). That could change in the future, but at this point in time, he doesn't have a jumpshot. I don't know why you keep stating that his shot is "clean as hell" or some iteration of it, when it isn't.I know he will be able to hit the 3, the way he moves with and without the ball will givehim plenty of opportunities and his shot is clean as hell..
You said math wasn't your thing, so perhaps you shouldn't try making predictions on what his percentages will be (I don't know how the hell you came to the conclusion he's going to hit in the mid-30s; let alone even entertain the thought of approaching 38-40%). Whatever you think of Blake's game, he now has a respectable jumpshot that is far beyond what Zion could even hope to replicate at this point in time.Im not worried about 3's, Blake has zero finesse to his game and in year 9 is shooting 40%, Zion will be around the mid 30's and i wouldnt be shocked to see him around 38 or 40% this year.
I think you really need to taper your expectations about how he's going to perform this season.
