Man... An argument is not going well when you talk about a BIG's 3 pt shot. I'll be honest, I hate inefficient shoots. I hated when AD add it to his game at 33% clip.

If you're a big that's elite in the paint. fukk a 3 pt stroke. Surround that dude with shooter. I hate this square peg in a round hole shyt . A big just needs a midrange game. Bigs with a 3 pt shots is rare.

You keep referencing 3-pt shots as if all those other players didn't shoot other jumpers inside the arc. The difference here is: Zion doesn't. The minuscule amount of jumpshots Zion took in college were mainly 3s, and virtually none inside the arc. Players like Doncic, Markelle, Tatum etc all shot jumpers inside the arc - not just 3s. And the 3s Zion took were typically uncontested, because the SR on him was based around his inability to shoot the ball; the 3s that Doncic, Markelle, Tatum etc took were typically contested. There was a reason why defenses in college gave him a shooting cushion.

I'm not quite sure why you're having a hard time comprehending this.

And I don't know why the fukk you think he can shoot 3s in the first place considering he only took 2.1 per game. That volume is not nearly enough to determine whether he can shoot the 3-ball.

Here are some stats for you:

73% of Zion's shots were at the rim last season
He only took 80 jumpshots in total (71 from behind the arc, and only 9 inside the arc)
Only 18% of his total shots were jumpshots - at a completion rate well below average D1 standard
He only took 38 NBA-standard 3s in total, most of which were uncontested, which he completed at 31%.

He's only taken four shots outside 5-ft in the three games he's played against NBA competition - all of which he missed.

How much more evidence do you need before you acknowledge that he can't shoot?

I don't know who this is in reference to, but if you're talking about Zion, then I wouldn't really classify him as a big. He's not big enough to operate as a big, which is why he's going to need to develop a jumpshot, at some point. The 3-pt shot isn't an inefficient shot - it's the most efficient shot you can take outside of the paint; shooting 33% on 3s is the same as shooting 50% on 2s.

The game is all about spacing now, which is why you need your big men to shoot the 3-ball. If you don't, you'll get left behind. Word to Pop and the Spurs.

Pelicans and the Hawks are a low floor, high ceiling team for this season. These teams normally finish anywhere from 44-40 wins on average. I doubt that's enough to get in the Western conference playoffs
