I'm a Duke fan and enjoyed watching him, Barrett, and Reddish. Just like he busted out of that Nike in the middle of a game, he's a bust. It is what it is. Maybe that was the first warning of what was to come.

He's not a Kwame Brown, Hasheem Thabeet, Darko bust but you can't be anything but one if you're the top pick and players picked behind you are more accomplished. That should be cut and dry and not up for debate. Health is part of the game just as much as athleticism and scoring, probably the most important. Who cares how many points and rebs you get if you're never on the court

Of course the ATL
He is not a bust to me cause when he plays he dominates

Thats not a bust

But whatever though the injuries are fukkin him up

Bro if he’s not available to play it’s almost the same thing as not being able to play. Bro been out 4 months b/c of a hamstring strain? GTFOH he’s a bust bro

the #1 ability is availability, and he essentially has none at this point. I believe he's played less games than greg oden his first 4 years.

Cats don't have the same energy tagging me throughout this thread anymore. Y'all goofies thought you had a win. End of an era.

4 championships but all you got to show for it now is sitting next to the Blazers and Jazz at the bottom of the play-in seeds... life comes at you fast :wow:
Damn, guess that means rotting out of the playoffs entirely with Wiseman must REALLY have your slow burning slow right now, imagine not even being an 8th seed in a conference where the lowly Pelicans are sitting at the top... :wow::picard:
Life comes at you fast as a fakkit.

Above the fray.
And he's still played more games than Embiid through four seasons. It's certainly not a good start but there is some precedent.
Fair enough, but not direct precedent. Just looked up that Embiid missed the first two seasons completely. Then played 33 then 63 over years three and four. So by the end of the fourth year, he was in better physical condition than when the 1st season started.

If you recall, at the start of season 1 Zion missed the first 44 games.......at the end of season 4 Zion will have missed the last 45 games.

I would take 12 ppg and 6 rpg over 200 DNP-obesity :francis:
Based on his weight problems, he doesn't seem serious about competing at a high level.
Everyone's body is different, but I can't see Shohei Ohtani or Kobe ever getting so fat they can't play and/or get injured because they understand it harms their ability to compete.
I don't think Zion loves the game enough to keep his weight issues in order.

It's not a direct line but it is what it is. Zion was basically fully healthy his second season too and got a freak injury to his finger; wasn't even lower body related.

Just as a fan of the game, I hope he can stay healthy going forward. The league is worse off if he can't stay on the court. There's nobody else like him in the league.
