This was well-written. Not a single person to pull for in the entire series. I love how they just tell the story.
It's a testament to the excellent writing of these series when I find myself rooting for some of the most reprehensible characters. They all feel like real human beings going through it, and when pushed to extremes I empathize to an extend with their actions because we've been shown enough to understand why they're doing what they're doing.

All in all, excellent series.

1.5 episodes in...style-wise it shyts on narcos but something is not resonating w/ me the way narcos did and I think it ties into characterization...still early in the season but I don’t think any of the characters are gonna sit well w/ me...again it’s very early but none of the characters seem to be compelling figures so far

I'm holding out hope that we see that Russia connect next season.

I agree w/ this early on...so I just need to watch and take the whole story in...cuz you addressed my concern about the lack of a strong character(s)

anyway let me not read anymore

Implication was, the game doesn't change. Only the players do.

- Sellers - Mexicans (possibly shows how Los Zetas (Miguel) would come about, moved the Monterrey cartel out the paint and took over the city). I just googled this for reference. Part I - How the Zetas Took Monterrey Has a video of Los Zetas taking over a casino in Monterrey.
- Middlemen/Brokers - Gabriel Byrne (Edward Lynwood) dies, his kids take over. His daughter Emma learned from her father, plays her role in the business, stays impartial, but delivers the product, and lives. Chris was already dying, so he tried to live a bit. That Moroccan chick Amina>>>
- Logistics (African ports and those kickbacks, ISIS dealings, Casablanca, Italian port)
- Buyers (Calabrians - 'Ndrangheta head Don Minu) - Stefano underestimated his grandfather, and didn't respect how business relationships really work. Don Minu was ruthless, but had probably seen it all, and did what needed to be done to continue their business.

Next up would be Sellers (Miguel & his special forces army), Middlemen/Brokers (Emma Lynwood), and Buyers (Russians). Just basically showing you that the game don't stop when someone dies. Business must be done, as global survival for many depends on it.
I meant specifically with Miguel and Emma.

It seemed to me that he tried to have the upper hand in their meet, sitting her between the dead Leyras and so on, doing the stone cold act to intimidate her. And when they part ways she mentions she'll be in touch, he gives her a look, takes her seat between the Leyras and just sort of slumps in exhaustion or maybe revulsion. Meanwhile as she walks through the mansion and outside she looks scared but when she clears the guards she smiles in triumph, maybe even happiness.

Maybe I'm reading too much into it.

Binged it between last night and today.

Any one of the three storylines would have made a strong show, on their own - but to tie them all together so neatly is :wow:

I like the fact it's limited too. That seems to be the new wave for 'prestige' TV :ehh:

Between shows like this, Chernobyl and Watchmen, I respect it. Not everything needs to go 5-6 seasons.
Guess they learned from how GoT ended....

Nah, you get it just fine. That's what they were going for.

Remember neither Miguel nor Stefano ever dealt in this business at this level before.

He (Miguel) tried to punk her with the theatrics, but her father had already schooled her. Their (Lynwoods) job is logistics. Start then complete the job,and get that bag. Everything else is unimportant, and useless to their clients. Business, never personal. She (Emma) was probably disgusted by them (The Zetas), but remember she had just lost her father and brother violently. She was still shook. Just the same, her value is her business and it had to go on.

NYC and FBA Riverboat Retaliation
First episode -I wasn’t too shocked about the man at the pig farm but the street chase shootout scene with the little girl, that’s what they’re doing
:picard::picard::mjcry::merchant:
If this is any indication of what’s to come, show might make Narcos:Mexico look like an episode of Victorious from TeenNick.
