With that said, this film is a little dry. Interesting in parts and Jessica plays her role very well.. but I could have done without the extremely long running time. Django was about the same length but felt half as long because the dialogue was completely engaging.

That's because the pace of ZDT was much slower and there aren't as many cuts. For a thriller like ZDT, that's to be expected.

The Kingdom was fukking terrible, BTW. 75 minutes of absolutely nothing followed by 15 minutes of the good guys saving Jason Bateman. Complete waste of time. Jarhead wasn't that good either.

Went to see this movie last night with my girl, excited for it.

What a fukking awful film.

The characters were horrible, the story sucked and all I got from this was that it's basically a film made to pat the CIA on the back.

The redhead bytch made me give no fukks, the whole story of linking terrorist to terrorist was long and drawn out. The dialogue sucked. An hour in I was checking for my watch to see how much more I had to endure, literally one of the only movies I ever considered walking out on.

Also, the Seal characters were so fukking cliche. Like they ripped them right out of COD Modern Warfare, I love how they all head beards and were the funnier guys. They had to standout from general infantry in such cliche and stereotypical ways.

I can't understand what was good about this movie. Thank God I went on discount night and the thing only cost me a total of $10 between the two of us.

fukking awful.

Just finished it. Kinda boring..too drawn out but the torture/action parts were interesting

This is how I felt the only part that had me interested was the first 25 minutes, because that's the only part that made you care about the characters.

Someone said it best too, shyt seemed like feminist propaganda as well.

I don't see what was really great about the actress, her range of emotions was very limited and she didn't make me care about her at all.

I`m with you 100% on the run time, way too long and the dialogue wasn't engaging at all. All that tying the strings together linking guy x to guy y to guy z to Bin Laden isn't really interesting in movie form.

So a strong, focused, straight-laced female character ter= feminist propaganda?

Not even that, how come everyone else was weak or uninsightful?

The guy who started the movie doing the interrogations of the terrorist, halfway through the movie he had to go home because he couldn't take it any more. The one guy she got in that big shouting match with because he didn't want to pursue UBL and he ends up getting canned. Then his replacement is on some "I`d never disagree with you Ms. Boss Lady" shyt.

Her being the one to confirm checking the body? Please.

And honestly that was not my biggest gripe at all, that was a small gripe. My biggest gripe was the story sucked, it was long, drawn out and boring and the acting wasn't that good either. There was no range of emotions for the main character and she never made me care about her struggle.

I really would love for someone to clue me in on what made her performance so good, why couldn't 50 other actresses have pulled that off? The ending too was so pretentious and lame, the single tear and the slow fade to back with that real slow song playing. Begging for you to feel something.

Jesus Christ you really weren't watching the movie.

Maya is the lead analyst on Bin Laden. Why? She was assigned to track BL back in 1998, and that's the only project she's had to do. People were coming and going to that CIA station, but she stayed the entire time, tracking surveillance footage and connecting the dots. She knew more about BL than anyone else at the CIA mainly because of her dedication

Sorry, phone's acting up so I had to cut the last post short.

After Maya gets back to Langley, she's gotta keep everyone focused on the mission smd taking a chance on raiding the compound. That's why she was writing on dude's window everyday and announcing her presence in the first briefing with thewhole "I'm the motherfukker.." thing. I think she cries in the final scene partly of relief and partly because Bin laden was her whole life for almost 15 years.

About Chastain's performance, I think Ill wait on that post until I get home from work. I hate ranting on a phone.

I don't think people understand that the character Maya is based on the real woman who tracked Bin Laden for years. Maybe there is some fluff added to it but the real CIA agent was a woman as far as I know..

I think we all completely get it, but the way you present that person can be done so in an aggrandizing manner, which I felt it clearly was.

Aside from that, the movie just wasn't good or entertaining
