Zero Dark Thirty DVD SCREENER IS OUT! (Post Your Review)

I saw it last night in a theater.

- The raid was dope, but my favorite scene was

when Maya's friend had to meet up with the "asset". I knew they were gonna get blown up (and I hadn't even seen the explosion in the trailer) but I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. Having the car slowly drive up, weaving around those barriers; it was something straight outta Hitchcock.

- I don't know how anyone with any semblance of intelligence could think this movie supports torture after watching it. Especially techniques like waterboarding and sleep deprivation.

- Bigelow's choice of not giving Maya any life outside of looking for Bin Laden was a smart move. Usually creating a character that "one-dimensional" would bother me, but it made the ending more moving when she confirms Bin Laden's death and cries to herself in the airplane.

- Chastain was great. She should get Best Actress ahead of Jennifer Lawrence. The guy who played the lead interrogator in the beginning was great too.

- Wu-tang reference

I don't have any big complaints about this movie. I loved it. My #2 movie of the year after Argo.

I don't give those out often either. Other than Argo, the last time I saw a 10/10 movie in a theater was In Bruges. 4 years ago.

I'll probably need to see it again, but I can't think of any problems I had with the movie.

I really don't like how the TV ads are only showing scenes from the last 40 mins.

It makes it seem like its the huge action movie when it's totally not. Perfect bait and switch.

Thought it was really fukking good. Great acting. Well directed. Would watch it again. Liked it better then 'Argo', more edge, made me think more, I was watching the torture scenes like 'This can't be worth it for the payoff', was pretty sickened by it.

Finally got around to watching it and it is a boring clusterfukk. How's it at 93% I have no idea, I'm sure the prpoganda has a lot to do with it.

People I watched it with had the same opinion.

The Kingdom, Greenzone and also Syriana are great movies in this vein. Some of my all time favorites. But I really liked ZeroDarkThirty as well

It's not "what is wrong with people", it's what is wrong with you and most of the Jesse Ventura ass nikkas in this site. Some of these conspiracy posts are downright embarrassing.

With that said, this film is a little dry. Interesting in parts and Jessica plays her role very well.. but I could have done without the extremely long running time. Django was about the same length but felt half as long because the dialogue was completely engaging.
